Do you love football? Join me in one of the most memorable experiences that a football lover can have in Rio de Janeiro: a Flamengo match at Maracanã! You will have an authentic experience of going to a Flamengo match as if you were a local fan, living the culture of Rio de Janeiro football and entering the considered “biggest crowd in the world” as if you had lived it all your life!
I’m Matheus, a football fan who has a degree in History and developed his research on his greatest passion: football, more precisely, football fans. So, I believe I have several stories to tell! I’m a die hard Flamengo fan and I’ve been going to my club’s games since I was little!
The Maracanã Stadium is, without a doubt, one of the most iconic in the world! It has already hosted two World Cup finals among other major world football competitions! In addition, it’s home to Flamengo matches, one of the biggest teams in the country! Flamengo’s fans are a show apart, providing an atmosphere and a unique experience!
We will meet in the lobby of your hotel and we will go to the stadium by metro. This is much nicer because we will be in contact with other fans who will be going to the match and with other people who are in their daily lives. On the surroundings of the Maracanã, we will take a tour around the stadium and to the Bar do Chicos, the location of our pre-match with by several Flamengo fans. We will drink some beers (or other drink you want) and eat some barbecues! Here I’ll tell you the best stories about Flamengo and Rio de Janeiro football and you’ll find out about the clubs and competitions!
Inside the stadium? Some say you should pay for two tickets in the Flamengo match: one for the match itself and another for the show of the fans! Our fans are considered some of the best in the country and you will definitely want to be part of this passion! Flamengo over the past years is fighting for the 1st place and our philosophy as fans, and the club too, directs us to always seek victory! Flamengo is synonymous with strength, love and passion and no matter what the situation, we will always seek victory!
After being in a game full of emotions and being sure that you will have amazing memories for the rest of your life, it’s time to head back to the hotel! End of our tour!

Rio’s stadiums have returned to 100% capacity. We cannot guarantee that restrictions will not return but we will keep all customers up to date on any developments.
To enter a Rio stadium you will need to prove you are fully vaccinated using your countries official health app.
Fixtures have been released however it is possible that Sunday matches will move to Saturday and vice-versa. We advise you to consider this when making your wider travel plans.
The maximum number of people the host will allow is stated above. However this number may not always be met and it may even be possible that your party is on the tour on your own. Higher numbers make for a more sociable experience, lower numbers make for more personalised attention from your host. Look at it as a win/win!
If we can accept children there will be an option in the booking flow. However for many trips our local hosts take the decision, based on the content of the tour, to open this up to adults only. If you are looking to travel with under 18’s, please feel free to contact us and we can discuss your options.
