Join me in an experience you will never forget – watch Flamengo at the iconic Maracanã Stadium!

I’m Matheus, your local host at Flamengo and I’ve been following my club since I’m very young! The Maracanã Stadium is one of the most iconic stadiums in the world! It has already hosted two World Cup finals among other major world football competitions, in addition of Flamengo home matches! Live this experience of supporting Flamengo as if you had been a local fan your whole life!

Flamengo is one of the most successful clubs in the country! We already won 8 leagues, 4 national cups and 3 Copa Libertadores! We are also home to Brazilian football legends like Zico, Adriano, Romário, Leonidas da Silva and many others! In addition to being where young stars like Vini Jr and Lucas Paquetá emerged and count on a current victorious squad where Gabigol, De Arrascaeta, Arturo Vidal, Everton Ribeiro and many others play.

What will we do in this experience?

I will pick you up at the agreed meeting point, taking the best route to Maracanã which is certainly by subway. Also, before the game we will drink a few beers and enjoy the pre-game atmosphere with many other local fans! Here I’ll tell you the best stories about Flamengo and Rio de Janeiro football and you’ll find out about the clubs and competitions!

Some say you should pay for two tickets in the Flamengo match: one for the match itself and another for the fans’ show! Flamengo’s fans are a show apart, providing an amazing atmosphere and a unique experience! After being in a game full of emotions and sure that you will have great memories for the rest of your life, it’s time to head back to the meeting point!

As soon as you make the booking I will contact you by email and on the previous days to the experience I will coordinate the meeting point and to share all the details for the matchday.

From the arrenged meeting point, we will go to the surroundings of the Maracanã Stadium for some drinks and local food, while I prepare you for the match ahead and tells you about Flamengo, their history, players and the chants you are going to sing on the match. All around you fans of Flamengo will be getting in the party spirit!

We will take our seats inside the Maracana with plenty of time to enjoy the pre-match build up. Then we will be treated to 90 minutes of thrilling football.

FAQs

Is the match date confirmed?

Fixtures have been released however it is possible that Sunday matches will move to Saturday and vice-versa.  We advise you to consider this when making your wider travel plans.

How many people will be on the tour?

The maximum number of people the host will allow is stated above. However this number may not always be met and it may even be possible that your party is on the tour on your own. Higher numbers make for a more sociable experience, lower numbers make for more personalised attention from your host. Look at it as a win/win!

Flamengo vs Vasco

Amazing experience going to the Maracana with my Dad and brother to take in a Rio derby. Matheus and Pedro were brilliant hosts made sure everyone was enjoying themselves and involved whilst giving us a great background on flamengo and Brazilian football in general. Took us via metro to close to the ground where we got involved in the atmosphere and build up with some beers and BBQ. Even got to seen my man De Arrascaeta score a pearler. Book it you wont be disappointed

Matheus and Pedro were great hosts and great lads, really made sure everyone was fully involved and part of the experience. Would 100% recommend these lads for anybody visiting Rio and hoping to catch some football at the Maracana.

Next level experience

Of course I knew about Brazilian passion for soccer. To experience it live in Rio, in the middle of the Flamengo fan zone, however, was a next level adventure. Mattheus knows the exact how to‘s to make this a great experience. Thank you!

Sun fun-and real

Matheus is laid back, cool and a great host. He even taught me how to fly his club’s flag at the end of the match. Been really trying to have more “authentic” experiences in travel lately, and this felt as real as it gets. Myself and my oldest girl (10) are pretty big football fans. My wife and youngest (9) not as much, but they had as much fun as we did. So if you’re debating this experience, go for it!

Great day at Maracanã

Brilliant day spent with Matheus at the Maracanã, he took us to a street where the fans meet for food and beers before the game then on to the match. His knowledge of Flamengo was excellent, I would highly recommend using Matheus if in Rio and wanting to go to a game to watch Flamengo.

I can recommend it to 100%

It was a great evening with Matheus at maracana. He picked us up like we agreed and we watched with him and other local fans a magnificent 5:0 win of flamengo. After the match he took us to our hotel. All in all everything worked, Matheus is very friendly. The atmosphere in maracana is incredible. A must do for every soccer fan.

Fantastic experience

As a football fan i had always wanted to visit the Maracana for a competitive game. The experience shared by Matheus did not let me down. From picking me up at my hotel, he shared a great knowledge of the Brazilian game, took me to meet and engage with his fellow fans, and had me in excellent seats in amongst a vociferous and passionate support, who were on their feet from the start until long after the final whistle. I'll look forward to using this service again for future games on my travels.

Wonderful experience

A must-do experience if you are visiting Rio de Janeiro, even if you are not a football fan! Matheus is a great host and all the tour is very well organized! The atmosphere is great during the match! It was a great day that continued even after the match, our group had such fan together that we decided to continue to stay together until late drinking some more beers!

Flamengo Matchday Experience

It was a great experience !!!! Pre-match immersed in the heat of Flamengo's Torcida and the match at the stadium becomes a party full of rhythm and songs that never stop. I was lucky enough to meet a wonderful group with whom after sharing the game I had the pleasure of being able to share all night around clubs. Recommended for everyone, not just football fans.

Good morning, Matheius showed me a good time at the Flamengo Game. My first time going to a Soccer ⚽️ game and I had a great time. He showed me where the Flamengo tailgate at and we ate barbecue as well. Then we had a good time at the game. Thanks again Matheius. 💯🤝

Authentic 🇧🇷 Football Experience

When you’re in Rio, you don’t want to miss out an authentic Brazilian football experience and there’s no better way of doing it than going to the Maracana. Matheus was very genuine and informative from the beginning to the end. He was gracious to meet me at where I was sightseeing and gave me experiences around the stadium well before the game. This was great because I was on my own for this game and we also met with other locals and tourists. Flamengo has some of the best fans in the world so be sure you catch a game!

Nada nos para!

Watching Flamengo at the Maracanã was the highlight of our trip to Rio, and we're so happy that we decided to go with Matheus. He takes away the stress of securing tickets, getting to the match and back, navigating the stadium etc. You will get to hang out with the fans pre-match, and then join them in the stadium. Matheus will give you the option to stand with the singing section, which I recommend - they're all really welcoming, and will even let you try out their flags and drums. The atmosphere was unlike any match that I've been to before, and thankfully we got a 3-1 win! This trip is a must for any trip to Rio

Most fun I had in Brazil!

We had an incredible time with Matheus attending the Flamengo game at Maracana. The energy in the stadium was out of this world, and it was so fun to be a real part of the action in the fan club with Matheus. As far as guides go, he was exceptional. He did an excellent job of making us feel safe and welcome at all times. His English is very good and he is a fun person to be around. It is a way better experience than trying to go to the game by yourself and figure it all out on your own. I definitely recommend doing a Flamengo game and going with Matheus makes it so much better!

Epic day!!!

What an epic day! Met some lovely people, had a wonderful time. Matheus was really great and very accommodating. He even paid for things out of his own pocket, until we could pay him back later, because we forgot to bring cash! My boyfriend is a big football fan, so he obviously enjoyed it, but even for myself, someone who knows hardly anything about football, I can definitely say I had such a good time and it felt like one big party with (new) friends!! Highly recommend :)

Great experience--do not miss!!!

Wow, what a FUN way to experience Brazilian football. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see a slice of life in Rio, even if you aren't a football fan. I went with my husband and teenaged daughter. My daughter and I don't care a bit about football but were going for the experience and it was a BLAST!!! We met our group near the stadium and had BBQ and beer before heading to the match. A side note, we were met and escorted from our hotel which was really nice. Matheus got us right in the middle of things and boy was it fun. We stood and cheered and sang along right in the middle of all of Matheus' friends. It was amazing. Matheus explained things very clearly and kept checking in with us to make sure we understood what was going on and if we were having a great time and did we need more beer. ;) Book this. You will not regret it. Best way to spend a few hours and get a real Rio local experience. I would 100% do this again if I am lucky enough to visit Rio in the future.

Definitely do it!

This was the best futbol/soccer game I have been to! The stadium is legendary. The team and fans are the most authentic. Our guides and friends were very cool, fun to hang out with, and helpful. They even sent us a picture of when we could be seen in the crowd. I felt very lucky to get to experience it. I’ve seen matches in Germany, and Argentina and Brazil was my favorite and so is the Jersey I bought when we were chanting around fireworks outside the stadium.

BEST experience ever

Went to the semi final of Copa Libertadores, Flamengo-Gremio (5-0) and this was the best football game experience in my life! The host, Matheus, is very friendly, he makes you feel comfortable, knows a lot of football and is the best host you can wish for. If you want to visit Flamengo, book this tour!
