Overview

Pack your bags and get ready to experience the world’s biggest game like a local.

El Clasico is, of course, where Barcelona and Real Madrid collide. An age-old sporting rivalry between two clubs who have won it all. Who always have the best players on their side. And who’s rivalry transcends sport.

The divide between these two clubs is long and storied. In football terms, Barcelona and Real Madrid are the two greatest teams in Spain. But in terms of politics and identity, these clubs represent two very different viewpoints.

This isn’t just Barcelona vs Real Madrid. It’s Catalonia vs Spain and everything in between. Fought to the death in one of football’s greatest arenas.

Led by your local guide, you’ll explore Barcelona’s vibrant streets and football culture through Catalonian eyes. Taking in the most authentic pre-match spots and learning what El Clasico really means to the people here.

Your tour price includes accommodation, a Nourishments Camp tour and of course the all-important El Clasico tickets.  Football matches simply don’t come any bigger than this. So if you’re going to do it, you might as well do it in the best possible way.

Day 1 - FC Barcelona Stadium Tour
Day 1 - FC Barcelona Stadium Tour

It's the day you've been waiting for!

When arriving at the airport, you can take a taxi (more expensive) or jump on the Airport Shuttle that takes you directly to the city center. After reaching your hotel, you can check-in and take a nice walk to look around.

In the afternoon, you'll meet your local host Naxto in the hotel reception and head to the enormous Camp Nou. Over there, he will guide you and dive deep into the club’s history, along with visits to the dressing room, pitch and museum.

After that, you'll have some free time. So you can head to the beach, enjoy the historical "La Sagrada Familia" or sightseeing with tips from Naxto.

At night, we'll set up a Group Dinner in one of Barcelona's best, local tapas places with good beers and amazing food.

Day 2 - Match Day!
Day 2 - Match Day!

El Clasico day is here!

You'll meet Naxto in the morning and have a small football-related tour to warm up for the intense day ahead. Naxto will take you off the beaten path and show you why Barca are so important to the people of this city.

Then, we'll head towards the stadium and have an amazing pre-match experience with local fans. In a tapas place near the ground where local fans meet.

FAQs

Will the stadiums be open in 2021/22? At what capacity?

Homefans believe that stadiums will be open to fans, however we cannot at this stage confirm what the capacity will be.  However our flexible booking policies mean that if the stadium will only accept 50% fans and you decide you only want to travel with 100% attendance you can swap to another venue or another date.

Will I need to prove I am vaccinated? Or show a negative test?

This will vary destination to destination and based on your nationality and age. Therefore Homefans are not able to advise on this.  Please check the foreign ministry of your destination and home country and the stadium requirements.  Again, if you find the requirements too much you can defer to later in the season/year when they relax further.

COVID-19 hasn’t gone away- should I still book?

We believe so, we all need something to look forward to.  But we understand that people may be apprehensive which is why we have created a flexible cancellation policy which means in the event that the event does not happen the amount paid simply becomes Homefans credit.

You can transfer this to a later date (with no time limit), transfer to another tour, or even give it to a friend. This flexibility also applies if you decide to cancel for any reason (as long as you give us 45 days notice)

Do I have to pay the full amount when I book?

No, you can secure your place with a deposit of just 30%, then pay the balance at least 4 weeks before your trip date depending on your destination.

Where in the stadiums will we be sitting?

If we know where you will be sitting we always mention this is in the inclusions section.

Unfortunately we are not always able to tell you that at the time of booking, however our destination managers work tirelessly to make sure you get the best seats. We always aim for the long side of the home supporters section.

How many people will be on the tour?

The maximum number of people the host will allow is stated above. However this number may not always be met and it may even be possible that your party is on the tour on your own. Higher numbers make for a more sociable experience, lower numbers make for more personalised attention from your host. Look at it as a win/win!

Can children / young adults join the tour?

If we can accept children there will be an option in the booking flow. However for many trips our local hosts take the decision, based on the content of the tour, to open this up to adults only. If you are looking to travel with under 18’s, please feel free to contact us and we can discuss your options.

Can you cater to dietary needs or requirements?

Our local hosts will do everything they can to cater to travellers’ needs. It’s a good idea to share your requirements at the time of booking so that our host is able to make the required preparations

Will I have to share a room?

In order to keep the costs low we always offer prices based on 2 sharing. If you make a booking for an odd number of people you or another member of your party may be paired with another traveller of the same sex. If you wish you may pay a supplement for a guaranteed single room. Simply make your booking as normal and get in touch with us to arrange this.
