Overview

Hello! My name is Liber and in this stadium tour, I will show you the history of Uruguayan Football!

The Estadio Centenario is located at Montevideo, Uruguay and it was declared by FIFA as World Football Historic Monument. The Uruguayan Football Association says that it is the only construction of its kind that holds that title in the world.

In the stadium tour, you will have the opportunity to see and learn more about the first World Cup, won by Uruguay in 1930 and the World Cup in 1950, in Brazil, when Uruguay beat the Brazilian National Team at Maracanã, with the record attendance in the history of the sport, with more than 200,0000 supporters. Also, we are going to see the stadium from the inside and take pictures of the pitch.

In the near future, the stadium will be remodelled so this can be one of the few opportunities to see it as close as it was in the 1930 World Cup!

Please note that our visits will be from 11:00 AM to 15:00 PM.
