Overview

Welcome to my City! My name is Filip, born and raised in Kraków I am a Wisla season ticket holder! Passion is of course football, travels, and meeting like-minded people! And there is no place better than Krakow; this is a city unlike any other in Europe. Breathtaking old-town with world-famous main square, old buildings, vibrant bars everywhere around, and 2 football stadiums just 2km outside of center!

And because Krakow is known of its intense football culture, you should definitely check it out! Discover it with a local guide, and Wisła Krakow fans all around!

After meeting on Krakow’s main square, we’ll head down the old-town to take part in a pre-match build-up that me and my friends always throw in one of the pubs near stadium on match days. Enjoy beers, food and of course, polish vodka with like-minded people. Let us learn you some Wisla chants to be able to support our team with us. 2 hours later it’s time to go, on the way to stadium we’ll visit Wisla Krakow shop, where some souvenirs can be bought. Then, let the madness begin at the ground! You will be with me all the time and I will make sure you have the best time of your lives watching Wisła Krakow!

FAQs

Will the stadiums be open in 2021/22? At what capacity?

Homefans believe that stadiums will be open to fans, however we cannot at this stage confirm what the capacity will be.  However our flexible booking policies mean that if the stadium will only accept 50% fans and you decide you only want to travel with 100% attendance you can swap to another venue or another date.

Will I need to prove I am vaccinated? Or show a negative test?

This will vary destination to destination and based on your nationality and age. Therefore Homefans are not able to advise on this.  Please check the foreign ministry of your destination and home country and the stadium requirements.  Again, if you find the requirements too much you can defer to later in the season/year when they relax further.

COVID-19 hasn’t gone away- should I still book?

We believe so, we all need something to look forward to.  But we understand that people may be apprehensive which is why we have created a flexible cancellation policy which means in the event that the event does not happen the amount paid simply becomes Homefans credit.

You can transfer this to a later date (with no time limit), transfer to another tour, or even give it to a friend. This flexibility also applies if you decide to cancel for any reason (as long as you give us 45 days notice)

Where in the stadium will we be sitting?

If we know where you will be sitting we always mention this is in the inclusions section.

Unfortunately we are not always able to tell you that at the time of booking, however our destination managers work tirelessly to make sure you get the best seats. We always aim for the long side of the home supporters section.

How many people will be on the tour?

The maximum number of people the host will allow is stated above. However this number may not always be met and it may even be possible that your party is on the tour on your own. Higher numbers make for a more sociable experience, lower numbers make for more personalised attention from your host. Look at it as a win/win!

Can children / young adults join the tour?

If we can accept children there will be an option in the booking flow. However for many trips our local hosts take the decision, based on the content of the tour, to open this up to adults only. If you are looking to travel with under 18’s, please feel free to contact us and we can discuss your options.

Is the match date confirmed?

Weekend matches can move from Saturday to Sunday and vice-versa.  We provide the current scheduled date but we would advise you only to book the matchday experience if you are available in the destination for the whole weekend.

Mr

Wisla Krakow v Widzew Lodz, Cup QF - Weds 28th February, 2024 (8.30pm ko) A wonderful experience with Filip & his friends, highly recommended! As a solo visitor to Krakow & a big football fan I really wanted to take in the above game. I walked to the ground on Tues but was unable to purchase a ticket. Back in a bar I tried directly on the club website but still struggling, when the "Homefans" link appeared. Having read all the positive reviews, I thought why not, although a bit apprehensive I'll admit! I need not have worried, after applying Filip was in touch soon enough advising a location to meet at 4.30pm on the day of the game. He was spot on time, we went & bought a few beers & went round the corner to his friend's apartment. Snacks were laid on, I was introduced to cherry vodka & over the next hour or so more of Filip's friends arrived & we talked football & other things. All were super friendly & photos taken etc. We then got taxi's to their bar near the ground (my taxi driver had lived near my UK area for 15 years before returning to Poland, small world!). A few more drinks & a chat again, some of Filip's friends were into their darts like me! Even some of Filip's Lodz friends came in as well, all very jovial! We then made the short walk to the ground, Filip made sure I got in ok & then we were up the stairs & in, great spot to the left of the goal at the home end! What followed was an amazing football experience! Filip said there were probably about 27,000 in but they made the noise of three times that many! A big flag was pushed above our heads at the start of the game, then after 10 mins the red flares went off, great photos of that! I don't remember sitting down much or not singing! Atmosphere was great. The game itself was fairly even, but Lodz scored a penalty on 80 mins (after a VAR check that went on forever, or so it seemed, yes it's used in Poland too unfortunately!) & things were not looking good, I've cursed them I thought! Then Filip advised there were SEVENTEEN minutes of injury time!! (Blame VAR!). In the very last of those Wisla got a free kick at our end, goalkeeper up etc. Ball cleared to the edge of the area, shot on & buried into the bottom corner!! Cue utter chaos that only a last minute goal can bring...I was jumped upon by about five people amidst all the celebrations! Shirts off seem to be a thing too! So 1-1 & into extra time (after another very nervous VAR check!) Lodz had a goal disallowed in ET (still not sure why, but who cares!) then in the 118th minute with penalties beckoning, Wisla had a great move down their right, ball crossed in & slid home in the middle, at our end again! 2-1 !! Get in, cue more chaotic scenes! Final score 2-1 to Wisla. Everyone was on a high so Filip got some more beers & we walked to a park area where we drank, chatted & exchanged more stories & photos! People drifted off home & Filip kindly got a taxi with me back into the Old town. We got a takeaway & said our goodbyes, but not before Filip pointed me in the right direction for my hotel! I rolled in about 2.15am very tired but very happy! We swapped messages again to say goodnight. That was not the end of Filip's kindness though! He checked I had made my tour the following morning (I did!) & also gave me a restaurant & beer house recommendation, which I duly followed up on that evening, both were great! Filip - many thanks for your kindness & looking after me, plus all of your friends too, apologies but I cannot remember their names, told you I was useless at that! You are all a credit to your club & your fantastic city. Please pass on my thanks to them all. I hope you enjoy continued success & Wisla win the Cup!! Good luck with the best man duties as well ! Anyone wanting a great football experience in Krakow please get in touch with Filip!!

Mr

We had a great time. Filip has some great reviews, and there is a good reason for that - he is great. We took in a third division match at noon at Wieczysta Krakow as they were at home on the same day as the big match. Open stand and a bit of snow but definitely an experience - great club shop and obviously an ambitious outfit, won 5-0 to stay top. Our plans changed through the day but it was cool. We got a tram to the stadium, checked out the club shop before retiring to a local restaurant for refreshment. Our game co-incided with a major club celebration so there were flags, pyros, smoke - at one point the players were taken off while the smoke cleared. It was an absolutely fantastic experience, enhanced by the fact that the home team scored twice in additional time to secure a morale-boosting win. Can't guarantee that much excitement but Filip looked after us very well, and it was great to have tickets/transport/local knowledge/great company all sorted. Thanks for a brilliant day, Fillip. Highly recommended.

We love you Filip! We do!

Filip took 25 of us on a stag do out drinking and to the match. He was simply amazing! We met him at mid day and were still out drinking and singing karaoke with him until 2am. Filip made the day amazing for us and him and his friends are great fun. The Wisla fans are incredible, non stop singing and chanting the entire game. They had a 90th min penalty winner which was the cherry on the cake. If you're going to Krakow, book a game with Filip, you won't regret it!

Great atmosphere and new friends.

Some friends and I met Filip and went for a warm up party to one of his friend's apartment. There we got to know each other, had some drinks, discussed football and our local teams and also got to know some Wisła chants. Then we made our way to the stadium, where we had a great time. Atmosphere was electric and the home fans sang the whole match. Wisła came back from behind and won 2-1 which helped contribute to the great atmosphere. I can say I made some new friends and I wholeheartedly recomment giving this experience a try if you are in Krakow or nearby. Jazda, Jazda, Jazda, Biała Gwiazda!

A must for any football fan

Filip is an amazing host couldn’t have asked for a better day. Met us outside the stadium a a few hours before kick off and kindly bought us drinks. Had an amazing chat with all his friends and fellow Wisla fans to then go see an electric atmosphere 100% Worth it 10/10. Can definitely say I have made a friend in Filip.

My trip to Krakow

I couldn’t recommend this experience any more. Filip was a perfect host and everything went smoothly with the football (apart from the result). I would recommend anyone to experience this when travelling to Krakow.

A Great Way to Meet Locals

I was traveling with my girlfriend through Poland and we decided to spend a few days in Krakow. It’s such a picturesque city with a passionate football fan base. We spent a Saturday with Filip and his friends and couldn’t recommend the experience enough. He has a very welcoming group, which only added to the atmosphere. If you’re stopping through Krakow and there’s a game… hit up Filip!

Proper Football Experience

As a football fan I got everything expected from this experience! The game was tense, a typical derby and not a classic, but that’s not what I was going for. To see the passion of the fans and all that mattered was the three points was what made it for me and reminded me of my own teams derby. Filip and friends were great hosts, very patient and took care of us throughout. A great authentic experience which you wouldn’t get with other guides. Would highly recommend

Good time

We had a great time with Filip and his Friends. The contact the days before the match was really fast. On matchday we met in the city and then we went to a houseparty wich was very fun with some good food and vodka. Atmosphere in the stadium was also great.
