I have had a couple of matchday experiences with Homefans, both in Mexico City to watch Club America and to Buenos Aires to see Boca Juniors. Both were brilliant experiences that I have never forgotten. So when I saw that Homefans could provide a whole tour to Colombia, where and could take in some local culture as well as some South American football, I got really excited. Sadly, I shouldn't have. I now wished I had booked my own trip to Colombia and just used Homefans for the matchday experiences.  They're hosts are great on matchdays, but Homefans are not great at planning and sorting out a whole itinerary, and I'm not sure how much research they do beforehand.    I only managed to watch 1 out of the 3 games advertised on the trip and the only reason I was able to watch a second game was, because I had to pay extra for the Bogota derby. (Which, as a matchday experience, as amazing)  Sadly,  for the Santa Fe game that was part of the package seemed to be put together at the very last minute, and even though the guide was good and looked after me. There was an obvious feeling that he didn't really want to be there, and spent a fair bit of the time either messaging or speaking to his wife on the phone. As for the matches in Medellín. They didn't actually fall during the original itinerary they ended up putting together and basic research beforehand would have shown that the dates, in which the tour leader put down for these games, were reserved for Copa Libertadores matches, and the fixtures would never have gone ahead on those proposed dates. Yet the tour leader continued with the itinerary.  The tour leader also said he would provide other activities for these days, as the games had been moved, but he never did, and I paid extra to sort out my own tours while I was in Medellín.  Homefans did give me a small refund for the 2 matches I ended up missing, but it was actually less than I had paid for the extra matchday in Bogota.  When I booked this trip, I paid extra to do a day trip to Guatape. (Which is a must, if you do decide to book this Colombia trip) Only to find out the day before that the tour would be taking place in Spanish. Not English. I found this out after I had to do my own chasing up to find out the information for this day trip. This was something that I had to do throughout my trip, as I only seemed to get information at the very last minute, after having to chase someone up. The lack of research also showed when it came to the hotel in Medellin. Even though the hotel was in a great location, on the main strip where most of the bars and restaurants are, but the hotel itself, even though it was comfortable, it also seemed to provide exrotic services.  The hotel in Bogota is very nice and again, in a very good location. I will say, I had a great time in Colombia and it is an incredible place to visit. But my trip was only saved by the fact that I am an experienced traveller, and was able to use this experience to make sure the trip wasn't a complete waste of time. But, not everything that is advertised was delivered. So like I said at the top, you are better off booking your own trip to Colombia and use Homefans to book a separate matchday experience. Because that is what they are really good at, but whole trips, not so good.

You must come to Thessaloniki! Great food, great wine and craft beer scene and the hospitality. The experience at Toumba last season was exceptional and the club treated us like VIP. Thank you Homefans!

Seeing a Milan derby at the iconic San siro has always been on my football bucket list, and wow it did not disappoint! Seeing Inter win the league was unbelievable, I’ve never seen an atmosphere like it. And the San Siro is a must visit before it eventually falls victim to modernisation. Our hosts were very helpful and informative, the hotel was convenient and all went very smoothly. Would highly recommend! Thank you Homefans!!

We recently attended the River Plate v Rosario Central match (a late 2-1 comeback win!) with Nacho as our host, and it was one of the highlights of our entire trip. Both the soccer super fans and the casual fans were smiling and enjoying every bit of it. The atmosphere was electric, and Nacho makes the experience so easy and fun with clear communication, hotel pick-up and drop-off, close to stadium parking, VIP lounge with many food options, great seats, and is totally invested in your experience and comfort. He is also very personable and happy to give you additional sightseeing and foodie tips as a passionate Buenos Aires local. Highly recommend!
