There are many, many reasons to visit Paris; the art, the culture, the food – and increasingly, the football – for 2021/22 the appeal of Parisian football is turbo-charged as Lionel Messi joins PSG.

To the eyes of the world, Paris Saint Germain is a newcomer to elite football. It is true that the latest investments turned PSG into a world-class club, but you might be surprised as to how deeply rooted the club is to the city of Paris and to French Football in general. Despite having become a marketing machine, PSG is also conserving the very best in football: the culture. Mostly thanks to its huge popular fanbase, standing in the two curves of the stadium for each game.

Nowadays, PSG home games are always played to sold-out audiences, and once you get inside the Parc des Princes, you can easily understand why: Some of the very best players in the world on the pitch, really nice football, many goals, amazing fans activities including pyro, displays of all kind, great chants etc… The latest PSG success also came with a lot of raising rivalries, and Paris Saint Germain is the team everybody wants to beat. It means that the opposite side is always willing to give a 100%!

In this matchday experience, I will provide you with quality in-depth interpretation of Parisian and French football and ultras culture to not miss a single detail for when the time of the game comes. We will begin walking through the main sites of the city, stop by the Eiffel Tower to snap some photos and I will tell you the best stories about the upcoming match. Then, we will go straight to the surroundings of the stadium, where we will meet with other local fans and enjoy the pre-match. If you want, there will be bars selling beer and traditional street food.

Then, we will watch 90 minutes of an intense match! We will be in good seats, with an amazing view of the pitch. After the game, I will take you back to the city center and say goodbye to the group!

Are the stadiums open? At what capacity?

As of October 2021 France’s stadiums are opening at 100% capacity.

However please note that this is subject to immediate change without notice and that Homefans and our local hosts have no control over this.

Will I need to prove I am vaccinated? Or show a negative test?

Yes, for major sporting events France requires proof of double vaccination or a negative test. EU Residents can show their EU Sanitation Pass or a negative (French) PCR. Non EU residents must present a negative (French) PCR

Is the match date confirmed?

We publish the latest information we have from the clubs regarding the schedule.  However these are tentative.  For weekend fixtures matches can take place any time from Friday to Sunday.  For midweek matches you should be prepared for the match to take place one day earlier or later than stated.  Please consider this when making your wider travel plans.

Where in the stadium will I be sitting?

Please refer to the schedule as seating varies depending on the fixture.  Given the demand for PSG matches this season we have sourced the best available tickets for all matches.

How many people will be on the tour?

The maximum number of people the host will allow is stated above. However this number may not always be met and it may even be possible that your party is on the tour on your own. Higher numbers make for a more sociable experience, lower numbers make for more personalised attention from your host. Look at it as a win/win!

Can children / young adults join the tour?

Our local host has taken the decision, based on the content of the tour, to open this up to adults only. If you are looking to travel with under 18’s, please feel free to contact us and we can discuss your options.
