The atmosphere inside the stadium was terrific and will last long in the memory for the Boca v Belgrano match. However, the pre match experience leaves a lot to be desired. After being collected in the city we were taken to an isolated convenience store to wait for well over an hour for our ‘pre match experience’, before being taken straight to the ground in groups of 4 through various security checks on our own, which was quite nerve wracking. Tickets were provided what seemed surreptitiously and spread out amongst different sections, so we were all not together to share the match experience. Being in the stadium with the atmosphere was special, but the overall experience was tarnished by the lack of any pre match atmosphere, which was I thought to be an integral part of the day.

There is no doubt that watching a match inside La Bombonera is something that every football fan has to experience. Ignacio (the host) was very friendly and welcoming. The game itself was a joy and one that will live long in my memory, but the overall pre-match experience was extremely disappointing. In effect, there wasn't one. Under the highlights section of this page, it says 'enjoy a pre-match experience with locals'. What actually materialised was in excess of an hour-long wait at a convenience store devoid of any pre-match atmosphere while we waited to be secretly taken into the vicinity of the stadium in small groups. This was done in a rather covert and secretive manner, which left me and my dad feeling uneasy. We had to make our own way into the ground past two security checks and meet our transportation back separately, when we thought we'd all be sat together. This left us both feeling very disappointed. I have given the experience three stars as the match itself was an incredible experience, and it would've been almost impossible to source tickets without Homefans. However, not all of the 'highlights' listed here were met, and we both feel let down that we did not experience an authentic pre-match experience that Boca Juniors is known for.

Watching Porto beat Benfica 5-0, with Bernardo as the local host, was truly a trip to remember. This was my first trip with Homefans, and coming alone, I was slightly nervous about what my experience might be - but I had no need to be concerned! Porto is a beautiful, historic city that was a delight to explore. Bernardo, despite his young age, is a fantastic local host who loves both his city and his club, as well as the sport as a whole. From talking me through every step of the FC Porto museum tour, to going to the local pubs and talking everything European football before the game, to going to the game and experiencing the best atmosphere I've seen in a football stadium - Bernardo's passion for the sport and FC Porto really showed, and it was a real pleasure to spend the time with him. I would love to be back at the Dragão one some day, and would encourage anyone to go with Bernardo. Helping make sure that I got on and off the correct Metro back to hotel was certainly a bonus! 😁 And the Homefans experience as a whole was simple, well communicated, and an experience where you really feel like as a lover of football, you are among your peers. It is a fantastic idea to be able to experience these matches that you wouldn't be able to otherwise, and it definitely won't be my last.

I've always been unsure about buying tickets to games online (especially in a new country where I barely speak the language!) but the site is legit and as advertised. A fantastic experience and an absolute must-see if passing through Buenos Aires! Valentin was a great host and arranged everything on the day including drinks and transport to and from the stadium.

My two friends and I purchased tickets for this game and had a wonderful experience with the help of Davide. He met us in a quiet Piazza, took us on the murals and then to the train station for the game. He led us to a local place for pre-game drinks and food then made sure we were in the stadium before leaving us. His really made the experience even better than we imagined. The atmosphere in and around the stadium was brilliant and we would recommend anyone to go to game. Thanks again Davide
