Hi, I’m Matheus! I’m a Flamengo die hard fan and a true football fanatic! Since 2018, I’ve been taking fans from all over the world to experience the unique energy of a game at Maracanã, one of the most iconic stadiums on the planet! If you want more than just watching a game, if you’re looking for an authentic experience, new connections and unforgettable memories, this is the place for you!

Here, you won’t just sit and watch the game. You’ll experience a match day like a true Flamengo fan, feeling the excitement of the fans, singing, jumping and celebrating every goal with the most passionate Brazilian fans! All this with the safety and comfort of a local host to guide you through every detail, ensuring that your only concern is enjoying this epic moment!

Attention: New entry system at Maracanã in 2025

Starting in 2025, entry to events at Maracanã will be done exclusively by facial recognition. Other entry methods will not be accepted, and each participant will need to register before the game.

To ensure everything goes smoothly, my experience includes full assistance in this process. We know that the language barrier and conflicting information can be a challenge for foreigners, so I will be by your side to make everything simpler and ensure that you enter the stadium without stress!

How does the experience work?

Initial communication: Between 7 and 5 days before the game, you will be added to a WhatsApp group where I will share all the essential information.
Facial recognition registration: I will send detailed instructions for each participant to register. This process is mandatory to guarantee entry to the game.
Ticket confirmation and allocation: After registration and confirmation of facial recognition, I will organize and allocate tickets for each person online. However, some registrations are still rejected and need to be confirmed in person. For those who had their ticket confirmation and allocation online, we have completed the process. For those who were unable to proceed, it will be necessary to meet with me the day before the game at a confirmation and collection point. If it is not possible the day before, it will be on the day of the game a few hours before kickoff. This information about location and time will be sent in the WhatsApp group.
Meeting on the day of the game: Those who confirmed and allocated their seats online or the day before the game will meet with the group at the pre-game bar. Information about the location and time will be sent to the WhatsApp group. Those who need to do the process in person on the day of the game will meet with me a few hours before the pre-game time to complete the process.
Pre-match at a traditional bar: Before heading to the stadium, we’ll warm up at a traditional Flamengo fan bar, located just one block from Maracanã. Here, you’ll be able to soak up the atmosphere of the game, interact with other local fans and enjoy high-quality traditional drinks and food.
Stadium entry: We will head to Maracanã 1 hour and 30 minutes in advance for comfort and security. Tickets are for the Short Side (behind the goal), but I can change to the Long Side (side of the field) at no extra cost, subject to availability.
Post-match: We return to the bar to end the experience with more chat and drinks! If the bar is closed, the experience ends and everyone can go their own way back without depending on others. For games that finish late, Uber is the best option at this point, avoiding traffic around the stadium and ensuring a smooth return.

We know this new facial recognition system is a big challenge, but we are committed to making your experience smooth and unforgettable. You don’t have to worry about a thing – I’ll be there to make sure everything goes perfectly!

My wife and I had an awesome experience at Flamengo vs Vasco at Maracanã stadium! Matheus and Victor were both really responsive in the build up and worked hard to get us all signed up with the facial recognition system, so that the day of the match was stress free. Atmosphere was incredible at the game, enjoyed the food and beers beforehand, felt safe at all times and would 100% recommend.

Amazing day watching the Flaflu derby with Matheus. There were some issues with a new face ticket system leading up to the game but Matheus worked tirelessly to make sure that this did not interrupt our day. Great experience!

Amazing experience!! 10/10 and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to experience a soccer match in Maracana in a safe and comfortable environment. We were in Rio on a business trip and checked to see if there were playing any matches in Maracana during our stay. Long story short we found this website and after reading the good reviews we bought the tickets. Matheus (and Bruna) was an excellent host and guide; everything went exactly as described: we met with Matheus and took the metro to a bar close to the stadium. In the bar we enjoyed some nice drink and food, very reasonably priced and nice/safe environment. After Matheus handed us our tickets and we took a short walk to Maracana stadium and got inside without any problems; we enjoyed the game (they sold beer at 3$!!) and when it was over we walked back to the same bar, but we were tired and decided to take an uber to the hotel. Everything went exactly as described ; we had an absolutely great time and would 100% recommend to anyone who wants to experience a football match in Maracana. Will probably do it again next time we are in Rio :)

My husband I went to the Flamengo v Atletico Mineiro at the Maracana stadium with Matheus and Bruna. From the start communication with Matheus was excellent. He have detailed and explicit instructions on meeting places, timings and do’s and don’ts which was very helpful. The day was well organised and after meeting at the metro we attended a Flamengo pub for food and drinks and to be immersed in the Flamengo atmosphere and culture. Matheus was very knowledgable and answered all our questions. The atmosphere at the stadium was incredible and again Matheus made sure everyone was looked after. After the game we went back to the pub before heading back to the hotel. If you want to experience brazilian football, this is an experience not to be missed.

Amazing experience! Attended the FlaFlu derby at Maracana with Matheus and it was so fun. Met up with him and our group and he gave me my jersey, we took the metro to the neighborhood, had some drinks and got to know each other, and then enjoyed a great game and some hanging out after. Really fun time, Matheus knows all about the neighborhood and is a good guy and group leader, and loved getting to go with a bunch of other fans who wanted to experience the game. Highly recommend to all.

The Maracana had been on my bucket list for some time as a true cathedral of a football ground. It did not disappoint with Matheus' organisation exceptional from us meeting at a nearby bar, helping to get everyone to the turnstiles and to their seats, paying for refreshments after the match, and arranging transportation back to our acommodation. He is also a well mannered man and passionate about his club and this really came across to the group with the group all relaxed and enjoying themselves. Thoroughly recommended.

Absolutely loved the experience, it was great to finally go to a football game in South America, you don’t realise how big Flamengo is as a club until you’re in Rio. Matheus was fantastic, passionate fan of Flamengo and had great football knowledge. Matheus communication before the game was great. The instructions that were sent was interesting, especially not to wear a Brazilian national shirt (as some might say in England, Club before Country!) or an Iron Maiden t-shirt (as this represents an rival club) however it’s fully understood and I thought It was great to know. Matheus, met us at the metro station (easy to find and easy to get an Uber too). The local bar was nice and affordable too, Matheus got us all a beer, which was highly appreciated. The walk to the stadium was less than 10 mins away. The security check points straight forward too. The seats where Matheus sits, are great. Matheus is a member of the #12 (the biggest supporters group in Brazil), so if you want an almost ultra vibes. Then the atmosphere was great throughout the game. Best advise, once Matheus shows you your seat and the area your sat in. Then get yourself down into the concourse. 30 mins before kick off, that’s where the party is happening, with the #12 group. This is where the flag bearers and drummers get together and create an atmosphere. Which was amazing to see. What was even better, was to be able to drink beer at the game (its costs €2 a beer and can be paid contactless too) so you could get yourself carried away haha Overall, great experience, amazing to be in the Maracana. I can only imagine that the big games in there would be unbelievable. Thank you Matheus

This is a must do experience in my opinion. The energy of the Brazilians in their game is incredible and a sight to see. Matheus was incredibly nice and open. Going to the Flamengo game was a top highlight from my vacation in Rio De Janiero! The game itself was a nail biting encounter but the experience as a whole was sensational. Matheus is a responsive, punctual, organized and committed tour guide. Furthermore, he is a knowledgeable and informative Flamengo super fan and member of the community. I learnt a lot about Brazil and Rio because of him. From the moment I asked my first questions before buying my tickets until the post game bar drinks he has been an amazing tour guide who took care of us, got us to the game on time and made us feel comfortable as visitors to a foreign country and foreign football fan base. I left the game as a Flamengo game and I managed to get the jersey through him. Obrigado, meu amigo! Looking forward to my next game in Rio!

I was in Brazil for Carnaval and wanted to see a soccer game live. I happened across this site and I will say the experience was great. They set you up from pickup to drop off so you have nothing to worry about. Our host Victor did an awesome job. Even though the subway closed early for some reason to return he offered to get us Ubers back home. I recommend. The soccer game itself is crazy, the fans are amazing.

This was was a classic night watching Flu v Bolivar in a midweek Copa match. Small yet great fun and diverse group with guests from the Cayman Islands, USA, Russia and Argentina. Very enjoyable pre-match drinks and food in very safe Flu bar , mixing with Mattheus’ mates and other Flu fans. Mattheus looked after us very well and we felt very safe throughout this classic experience. Highly recommended

A quality experience made even better by great company. My partner wasn’t sure about going to a game as we had been warned about being safe walking around Rio at night so I booked this experience in order to be part of a group that knew where to go and what to do around the game. Matheus was a fantastic guide and went out of his way to help us before we even arrived as we had issues with the booking process and our originally planned match was rearranged at the last minute. He was assisted by four other guides, as we were part of a bigger group, and we couldn’t ask for a more helpful bunch. Thanks especially to Mari who got my partner out of a sticky situation by translating between my partner and the security guard who didn’t recognise my partners medical device on the way into the stadium. Also shout out to the other Matheus who put aside his Botafogo fandom for one night! This experience is a bargain once you consider the level of safety and knowledge you’re getting from local guides. They will take you to a cool bar pre-game (the ox-cheek Coxinha was the best I had in Rio) and then to the best seats in one of the world’s great stadia. They’ll even get you safely on the subway home! Easy 5 stars and I would recommend it to anyone looking to catch a game in Rio.

Me and my girlfriend had an awesome experience at the derby between Flamengo and Fluminense. Everything was well organized, starting from the meeting point, getting to the stadium and efterwards. What an experience!! Beats any other sporting event I have been till date hands down!! Matheus and his team was amazing. We were given very precise instructions from start to end and were kept updated even on the day of the match. Matheus was an amazing host. His program provides a lot of flexibility to fit around your schedule. The pre-match meeting with the rest of the group gave us some time to bond over this incredible experience. Thanks Matheus for the amazing experience! I have been to 2 World Cups. And I can say that the atmosphere at the Flamengo match was more electrifying than the World Cup matches. The passion was insane! I felt like being in heaven inside the Maracana. Too bad I missed the pregame gathering. Make sure you arrive earlier than usual for the match. Traffic can be bad before the match. This is a must do activity in Rio if you are a football fan.

When my girlfriend and I decided to holiday in Brazil, I made watching a match a must-do activity. I found Homefans accidentally while searching for FlaFlu tickets on third-party ticket sites. Needless to say, I don't regret my decision to avoid the big sites and go with Homefans. It ended up being the trip's highlight and helped me connect with Brazilians elsewhere later on. Experiencing FlaFlu with Matheus made the match much more memorable. Beforehand, he took us by metro to an area outside the stadium where supporters congregated. We drank beers, met other like-minded folks, and watched supporters play drums and wave flags. Matheus educated us about Flamengo's history and importance as well as the FlaFlu rivalry. He made entry to the stadium quick and easy, and the match was a joy to watch. We were seated beside Flamengo supporters groups, which cheered from match start to finish. Afterward, he returned by metro to the meeting point. After Rio, I visited the Brazilian Pantanal for wildlife watching. While there, I wore my Flamengo shirt to dinner one night at a hotel. The waitstaff saw the shirt, got excited, and asked if I liked Flamengo. I told them I watched FlaFlu in person the week before and showed them videos from the match. They were so surprised I went to the match that they invited me to their home to watch a Flamengo-Gremio match. That was a fantastic experience, too --one I wouldn't have found on the typical tourist trail. Matheus took my family and I (as well as a handful of other friendly guests) to see the local derby Fluminense-Flamengo at Maracaña in July of 2023. It was a memorable experience for sure. The atmosphere was enthralling and the match was intense at this legendary stadium. We had good seats close to the Flamengo fans and with a clear view of the pitch. It’s easy to get drinks and snacks during the match and the logistics in and around Maracaña works well. Before the match Matheus took us to get a beer in a street nearby full of partying Flamengo fans with flags, singing, music, barbecue, and beers. It was an authentic and super fun build-up to the game. We felt safe and well taken care of the entire time from being picked up at a local metro station close to our hotel to being dropped off there again at the end of the day. Matheus reached out to me well ahead of the match to share relevant information and answer questions. His English is good and he was punctual and managed the whole process in a tidy manner. Highly recommended.

A highlight of our 10 days in Brazil was with Matheus and seeing a Flamengo match. We booked this 6 weeks in advance, as our family loves to see games while traveling. While in Brazil we were approached many ways to see this game. 1. They were all more expensive than Home Fans. 2. Home fans and Matheus made us feel like we were really a part of the Flamengo core fans, so we could enjoy this game like a true supporter. Nobody else offered this. I went with Matheus for the Fluminense - Flamengo game in July 2023. Fantastic to finally go to the famous Maracanã, where Brazil lost to Uruguay back in 1950 at the World Cup. This stadium is one of the 7 wonders of the world, so I was thrilled to go. Matheus and I had a great talk about football and he guided in a safe and good way, which allowed a family with 3 kids to even join👍 Everything was amazing and glad I finally could tick off that stadium on my list😊🙏

We booked a matchday experience with Homefans to attend the Flamengo-Fortaleza game at the Maracana on 1st July 2023. This was the most entertaining and enjoyable aspect of our two week holiday in Brazil, and I would recommend it to anyone - even those who aren't big soccer fans. Matheus met us as planned at the metro station, near Copacabana, and brought us for drinks to a place where Flamengo fans congregate, about 10 mins walk from the stadium. We were in an upper tier of the stadium, to the side of one of the goals, and the atmosphere was electric - very noisy and excited fans singing, dancing and chanting for the entire game. And the fact that Flamengo won 2-0 was great! Matheus then brought us back on the metro and made sure we got back OK. Overall, a superb service - we felt very much looked after by Matheus, and it was great value at €79 per person. Highly recommended!

If you are in rio you MUST see a Flamengo match. The atmosphere in the stadium is unique. Matheus has made our experience in the stadium perfect. He is a good guide who always looks out for his clients. You feel that it is important to him that you take home a great experience. With his great english knowledge he could give us a lot of information about his club and brazilian football. We will for sure come back and watch other games with Matheus! We loved it.

I was lucky enough to witness the Rio Derby between Flamego and Fluminense, words cannot describe the feeling of being in the maracana indulging into this atmosphere! Was just unbelievable all round. Matheus was a Legend, well organised and offered great depth and knowledge whilst sharing my passion of football! 11/10 would recommend this experience. the intensity of the crowd was unbelievable and just made me fall in love with Brazil and Brazilian football even more! Thank you Matheus for an amazing experience watching Flamengo in the Copa Libertadores!! The communication beforehand was perfect, with the whole day organised really well. The pre-drinks were a great way to feel the atmosphere building… And then the match…! The atmosphere was unbelievable, the fans did not stop singing for the whole 90 minutes (plus before and after the match). I have been to a lot of football games but that was possibly the best atmosphere I have ever experienced! Thank you Matheus for an experience I will never forget!

There are lots of things to do and places to visit in Rio. Hanging with Matheus and the others should be a can’t miss opportunity. Whether you are a soccer fan or not, this is more than just a game, this is 💯 involvement like a local fan. From moment 1 of meeting the other people in the group from all over the world, you’ll revel in pregame food and drinks in the streets, chants and movements to the final whistle of the victorious Flamengo, to walking out of the stadium with ears ringing and energy abundant. Never a dull or stagnant moment. So the perfect day in Rio will be visit Christ the Redeemer in the morning, relaxing at the beach in the afternoon, then spending the evening with Matheus and others. I cannot believe it took me a year and a half of living in Brazil to spend a day at Maracanã! Matheus' Flamengo Matchday Experience will go down as one of my favorite experiences during my time in this country. Energy, passion for the sport, and the vivacious Carioca spirit is tangible throughout the whole day; from the metro ride to the pre-game BBQ/beers all the way until the metro ride home with other Flamengo fans (hopefully after a win)! Matheus took care of all of the details, was highly communicative prior to the game and guaranteed an excellent experience for all involved. If you are looking for a unique way to spend a day in Rio, I cannot recommend Matheus' and Homefans enough!

Loved my visit to the Maracana with Matheus. Football in Brasil is a passion and going with a local person who knows the stadium, the areas for pre-drinks and loves his team is always a much better experience than a solo trip. The organisation, pre-communications and day itself were all excellent and I would highly recommend this trip to everyone even if its not your first football experience in Brasil. Also a chance to go to the most famous stadium in the world cant be missed. Tips and Advice: 1. You can drink a beer while watching the game but its much easier with cash than card 2. Food in the stadium is average, so get food outside or before the trip 3. Depending on where you sit in the stadium and time of year but the sun is hot and so have a cap or something for the sun I would highly recommend this trip and Matheus is a great host with excellent English and I felt safe and looked after throughout the experience.

This was an experience I’ll never forget. Matheus is a great host, organising everything from the metro ticket to the game ticket. He even organised gluten free beer for me! It’s a sensational thing to do in Rio, especially if you love football. From the pre game drinks to the game itself, it was amazing. The seats are in a good spot in the Maracana, right next to the most enthusiastic, drum playing, chanting fans. I can’t recommend Matheus and his tour highly enough!!!!

I want to start off by saying how brilliant of a host Matheus is. Me and my friend were travelling to Rio by bus, which was unfortunately caught in some bad traffic and therefore heavily delayed. Matheus communicated with us and arranged a meeting point for us, waited for us longer than was planned for the rest of the group and even managed to sort a place for us to store our large bags during the game. The game itself was incredible, the Maracana and the atmosphere was surreal. The experience of seeing a derby and especially in such a historic stadium cannot be overstated as to how amazing it is. Matheus also made sure that we got home all ok and made sure that we got our bags back after the game. He was a superb host and went above and beyond to make sure that everyone there enjoyed themselves. I cannot thank him enough for accommodating to our schedule, he is a brilliant host and I would recommend this experience of going to the Maracana to watch a game to everybody!

Matheus is a great host who really makes the experience so unique. The pre-match atmosphere with locals having barbecues and a few beers was something which without Matheus would have been difficult to find - a great experience. The Maracanã itself definitely lives up to the hype & the atmosphere for the derby was incredible! Highly recommended if you find yourself in Rio for a match!

Amazing experience going to the Maracana with my Dad and brother to take in a Rio derby. Matheus and Pedro were brilliant hosts made sure everyone was enjoying themselves and involved whilst giving us a great background on flamengo and Brazilian football in general. Took us via metro to close to the ground where we got involved in the atmosphere and build up with some beers and BBQ. Even got to seen my man De Arrascaeta score a pearler. Book it you wont be disappointed

Matheus is laid back, cool and a great host. He even taught me how to fly his club’s flag at the end of the match. Been really trying to have more “authentic” experiences in travel lately, and this felt as real as it gets. Myself and my oldest girl (10) are pretty big football fans. My wife and youngest (9) not as much, but they had as much fun as we did. So if you’re debating this experience, go for it!

Brilliant day spent with Matheus at the Maracanã, he took us to a street where the fans meet for food and beers before the game then on to the match. His knowledge of Flamengo was excellent, I would highly recommend using Matheus if in Rio and wanting to go to a game to watch Flamengo.

It was a great evening with Matheus at maracana. He picked us up like we agreed and we watched with him and other local fans a magnificent 5:0 win of flamengo. After the match he took us to our hotel. All in all everything worked, Matheus is very friendly. The atmosphere in maracana is incredible. A must do for every soccer fan.

As a football fan i had always wanted to visit the Maracana for a competitive game. The experience shared by Matheus did not let me down. From picking me up at my hotel, he shared a great knowledge of the Brazilian game, took me to meet and engage with his fellow fans, and had me in excellent seats in amongst a vociferous and passionate support, who were on their feet from the start until long after the final whistle. A must-do experience if you are visiting Rio de Janeiro, even if you are not a football fan! Matheus is a great host and all the tour is very well organized! The atmosphere is great during the match! It was a great day that continued even after the match, our group had such fan together that we decided to continue to stay together until late drinking some more beers!

It was a great experience !!!! Pre-match immersed in the heat of Flamengo's Torcida and the match at the stadium becomes a party full of rhythm and songs that never stop. I was lucky enough to meet a wonderful group with whom after sharing the game I had the pleasure of being able to share all night around clubs. Recommended for everyone, not just football fans.

When you’re in Rio, you don’t want to miss out an authentic Brazilian football experience and there’s no better way of doing it than going to the Maracana. Matheus was very genuine and informative from the beginning to the end. He was gracious to meet me at where I was sightseeing and gave me experiences around the stadium well before the game. This was great because I was on my own for this game and we also met with other locals and tourists. Flamengo has some of the best fans in the world so be sure you catch a game!

Watching Flamengo at the Maracanã was the highlight of our trip to Rio, and we're so happy that we decided to go with Matheus. He takes away the stress of securing tickets, getting to the match and back, navigating the stadium etc. You will get to hang out with the fans pre-match, and then join them in the stadium. Matheus will give you the option to stand with the singing section, which I recommend - they're all really welcoming, and will even let you try out their flags and drums. The atmosphere was unlike any match that I've been to before, and thankfully we got a 3-1 win! This trip is a must for any trip to Rio

We had an incredible time with Matheus attending the Flamengo game at Maracana. The energy in the stadium was out of this world, and it was so fun to be a real part of the action in the fan club with Matheus. As far as guides go, he was exceptional. He did an excellent job of making us feel safe and welcome at all times. His English is very good and he is a fun person to be around. It is a way better experience than trying to go to the game by yourself and figure it all out on your own. I definitely recommend doing a Flamengo game and going with Matheus makes it so much better!

What an epic day! Met some lovely people, had a wonderful time. Matheus was really great and very accommodating. He even paid for things out of his own pocket, until we could pay him back later, because we forgot to bring cash! My boyfriend is a big football fan, so he obviously enjoyed it, but even for myself, someone who knows hardly anything about football, I can definitely say I had such a good time and it felt like one big party with (new) friends!! Wow, what a FUN way to experience Brazilian football. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see a slice of life in Rio, even if you aren't a football fan. I went with my husband and teenaged daughter. My daughter and I don't care a bit about football but were going for the experience and it was a BLAST!!! We met our group near the stadium and had BBQ and beer before heading to the match. A side note, we were met and escorted from our hotel which was really nice. Matheus got us right in the middle of things and boy was it fun. We stood and cheered and sang along right in the middle of all of Matheus' friends. It was amazing. Matheus explained things very clearly and kept checking in with us to make sure we understood what was going on and if we were having a great time and did we need more beer. ;) Book this. You will not regret it. Best way to spend a few hours and get a real Rio local experience. I would 100% do this again if I am lucky enough to visit Rio in the future.

This was the best futbol/soccer game I have been to! The stadium is legendary. The team and fans are the most authentic. Our guides and friends were very cool, fun to hang out with, and helpful. They even sent us a picture of when we could be seen in the crowd. I felt very lucky to get to experience it. I’ve seen matches in Germany, and Argentina and Brazil was my favorite and so is the Jersey I bought when we were chanting around fireworks outside the stadium.

Went to the semi final of Copa Libertadores, Flamengo-Gremio (5-0) and this was the best football game experience in my life! The host, Matheus, is very friendly, he makes you feel comfortable, knows a lot of football and is the best host you can wish for. If you want to visit Flamengo, book this tour!
