Day Tours standard cancellation policy
Host Cancellation and No Show
If a Host cancels a Day Tour, their Guest automatically receives a full refund. If a Host cancels and you haven’t been informed, please get in touch with Homefans.
For a refund due to a Host Cancellation or No Show, Guests must contact us within 72 hours of the occurrence. Provide relevant evidence like photos or confirmation from the host or other guests. We’ll assess the evidence to determine if a Day Tour Issue has occurred and proceed with the refund.
In the event of a Host Cancellation, the Host won’t get any payment for the canceled Day Tour.
If a Guest cancels a requested booking before the Booking Confirmation is issued, Homefans will refund any nominal amounts charged to the guest’s credit card promptly.
If the guest cancels a confirmed booking, the cancellation policy specified by the owner in the Day Tour will apply. For the Day Tours that include a ticket purchase by the host, the following policies will apply:
- If the Guest cancels the booking 7 days before the game takes place, the Guest can use the total amount as credit for a future Day Tour at no extra cost, or ask for a full refund.
- If the Guest cancels the booking less than 7 days before the game takes place, the amount is non-refundable and will be used as credit at no extra cost for a future Day Tour, unless the host has already purchased the tickets, for which the cost of the ticket will be deducted from the credit amount.
If the kickoff date and time are changed by the FA or local organizers, the Guest is entitled to a full credit at no extra cost for a Day Tour.
Exceptions: In countries where the match ticket is linked to the ID of the person booking, the cost of the ticket won’t be refunded regardless of the timeframe for the cancellation.
Cancellation policy for Homefans Trips
Trips take place over multiple days, including accommodation, match tickets and activities. For these trips, you can receive a partial refund if you cancel at least 45 days before the trip is scheduled to start.
Deposits are non-refundable and transferable to other trips of choice.
You can reschedule the date or time of your day tour (or add or remove guests) within 24 hours of booking, and up to 72 hours before the experience is scheduled to start. In case a day tour includes match tickets for a live sporting event, this has to be agreed beforehand with the host or Homefans.
If you reschedule a day tour, the cancellation policy is based on the original purchase time and the original start date of the experience.
Cancellations related to identification
Some experiences require the primary booker to provide an ID before attending. If you don’t complete this process within 3 days of purchase, the entire reservation will be canceled.
Cancellations due to weather
If the weather creates a safety concern, either before or during the day tour, the host may cancel the day tour. If this happens, you will be fully refunded.
