Hi there! I’m Tomás, a local host at Argentinos Juniors. I live in La Paternal, the neighbourhood where I was born and bred and the one which houses this remarkable club -from which I’m also a lifelong member.

Argentinos Juniors became world famous because it is the side that formed and revealed Diego Armando Maradona back in 1976. He made his professional debut on the same ground our stadium is currently located – and no wonder why it’s named after him!

We’re also one of the most historically important teams all over the country, being one of the eight argentinean sides which won the prestigious Copa Libertadores (the south american counterpart of the Champions League) and having three first division championships in our glorious 119 years of history.

In a club (and a neighbourhood) like ours, everything is much more genuine than everywhere else. On top of enjoying top-notch first division football, you’ll experience how it is to be on a real non touristy and friendly area of the city in which everything moves around the local club -and Diego. Our fanbase is passionate. Our supporters really like showing their love for the club and they always throw a party when the side gets to the ground with fireworks, smoke bombs, music and chantings!

We had a great experiecnce in de neighbourhood of Maradona with our fantastic host Tomás. He knows everything about his "barrio" and a lot more. If you are in BA, you love football and you ate interested in El Diego.. go here!

Fantastic experience! Tomas is een excellent host. He Made sure we had an amazing day at Argentos Juniors. He welcomed us with a cold beer en told us everything about the club. The neighbourhood is great with a lot of murals and special places about Maradona. Tomas made a lot of time for us to show is everything. The Diego Armando matando stadium is also beautifull. Al together an great day. A big recommandation!

Great match experience with Tomas at Argentinos Juniors with Tomas. He made sure we got to the meeting point ok and into the ground, the atmosphere inside was amazing. After the game he made sure we got back to the hotel ok

Tomas is an excellent host and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone in BA when Argentinos Juniors is playing at home. Before the game we enjoyed a beer outside of the stadium, and toured some of the neighborhood murals of local icon Maradona where Tomas explained the history of the team, the neighborhood and its ties to Maradona. Going to the game with a lifelong neighborhood resident was a true pleasure - it felt like going to the game with the mayor of town! Tomas is very knowledgeable, friendly and just a genuine guy. Will recommend this to anybody who will listen.

I can highly recommend this Argentinos Juniors experience with Tomas for anyone interested in football culture, history and everything Diego Maradona. Tomas took us on a tour of the local community, showed us some cool Maradona murals and explained how the legend influenced the neighborhood, before we headed to the stadium. Amazing host, great experience!

We had pre match drinks a few blocks from the stadium. There were plenty of Maradona murals to see on the way ground. The match was great and the overall experience excellent. Tomas is a fantastic host and very passionate about Argentinos Juniors and Maradona!!! Thanks again for a brilliant time and letting me come at short notice.

Had a great time with Tomas, communication prior to the match was perfect, before the match he showed me a lot of murals in the neighborhood while having a beer, Tomas is really passionate about his club and gave a lot of information, everything was pefect!

Finally to the club where it all started for Diego Maradona. Received an incredible amount of information from Tomas. It's amazing how much he knows about the history of the club. We also know now that there is another meaning for AAAJ. It was the only day we had rain. But in an almost uncovered stadium, Tomas even managed to arrange covered places. Super organized Tomas, we'll be back!!!!

This is a great experience for any football fan. It’s a brilliant stadium with great history and atmosphere. Tomas is also very informative, friendly and helpful and knows everything about the club he supports!

After a few beers on the street (like the local fans) we went to the stadium. Tomas is very passionate storyteller. He knows a lot about Argentinos and Maradona. We really loved the experience. Thanks Tomas

Had a great night with Tomás at the first game of the new competition. Tomás knows his stuff regarding his club (he is a historian), and is very passionate also which shows ! Also the game was very entertaining, ending in a 2-1 win of Argentinos Juniors. See you soon !

This game beat all expectations for me. The atmosphere was electric from the fans and you could feel the passion for his team so much from the host. He told us plenty of stories and interesting facts about the stadium and the Velez rivalry and of course Maradona. We got to see some murals around the stadium and if anyone is visiting Argentina for football give Argentinos Juniors a visit you will not regret it, thankyou!!

I had a wonderful time with Tomás during the match of Argentinos Juniors against Defensa y Justicia, so I decided to come back against their rivals Vélez Sarsfield. A decision I didn't regret at all, since the second match was even better than the first one. Argentinos Juniors is a smaller barrio club, but that makes this experience so authentic. The barra bravas are standing at the long side of the pitch, which is quite unique. In addition, the club has Diego Maradona running through the veins. All these elements ensure that I would recommend Argentinos Juniors to everyone who wants a taste of the real deal in Buenos Aires.

A ground I was not expecting so much from with it being such a small one. The Stadium in the end had a lot to offer and with Tomas there to show exactly what it has and the history of it all made for a brilliant trip. Thank you Homefans and Tomas for an amazing end to my trip!
