Real Club Deportivo Espanyol is the other side of football in Barcelona. Always at the shadow of their fellow Blaugrana neighbours, the love for this club has grown out of the feeling to show that there is a world of football beyond Camp Nou and you can find it in the RCDE Stadium. Join us for this matchday experience and get to know the rich culture and history of the other side of Barcelona!
If you are the type of football fan that likes to go beyond the football pitch and find out about every in and out of clubs then this is your tour. Why are Espanyol fans called “Los Periquitos” and what do their motto “Meravillosa Minoria” encapsulates? Find out about their 10-year wait for a stadium and what the Chinese ownership means for the club and the fans. And most importantly, understand about the actual moment in the history of the club, now back in the top division in Spain after a spell in Second Division and how they won back promotion in former relegations. Suffering makes a part of this club and you will experience how the Espanyol feeling grows even more in times of adversity.
What you’ll experience
Be ready to enjoy RCD Espanyol as a local. We will meet in the grounds of the former and historic (already demolished) stadium of Sarrià where our adventure will start and you’ll get to know about the history of the club. Afterwards, we will go to the RCDE Stadium where we will get a taste of traditional and famous Spanish Tapas and share a beer with RCD Espanyol local fans. Afterwards, it will be kick-off time! We will get into the stadium with enough time so we can take a look around and I will take you to a surprise checkpoint inside the ground before leading you to your seats!
Get ready for an amazing day, courtesy of one of the greatest clubs in Spain!

Available fixtures:
As of October 2021 Spain’s stadiums have resumed opening at 100% capacity.
However please note that this is subject to immediate change without notice and that Homefans and our local hosts have no control over this.
As of now this is not required to enter the stadium however there is always the possibility that this will change. Also given that proof of vaccination and/or negative PCR is required for entry to Spain we advise you to consider this in your travel plans.
We publish the latest information we have from the clubs regarding the schedule. However these are tentative. For weekend fixtures matches can take place any time from Friday to Sunday. For midweek matches you should be prepared for the match to take place one day earlier or later than stated. Please consider this when making your wider travel plans.
Please refer to the inclusions section, where we know we will always mention this here.
In the rare cases nothing is mentioned this means it can vary match to match based on availability. We always strive for the long side with the home supporters. You can always contact us for more information based on the fixture you are interested in.
The maximum number of people the host will allow is stated above. However this number may not always be met and it may even be possible that your party is on the tour on your own. Higher numbers make for a more sociable experience, lower numbers make for more personalised attention from your host. Look at it as a win/win!
Where we can accept children there is an option for children in the booking flow. However in many cases our local hosts take the decision, based on the content of the tour, to open this up to adults only. If you are looking to travel with under 18’s, please feel free to contact us and we can discuss your options.
