Homefans – What’s new?

There’s been a lot of work behind the scenes over the last couple of months during COVID-19, and we are thrilled to reveal our shiny new platform.

The last couple of months have been a rollercoaster  – not just at Homefans HQ but at many businesses around the world.

At Homefans, we’ve used this time to take the next step towards being the go-to platform for bucket list sports experiences. And we couldn’t be more excited to share these changes and new features with you.

Say hello to a new Homefans

You may have noticed a lot of changes in our new platform compared with the old website. For those who haven’t seen the previous website, it’s changed a lot!

We wanted to create the BEST experience for sports fans, and feel this is the start of a platform that ticks all the boxes. Welcome to the new Homefans.

Platform? What do you mean?

For some, it might be a surprise, but Homefans is shifting from a traditional travel operator into a platform that allows locals and tour providers to list their own trips and day tours.

We now allow anyone to sign up to become a host on Homefans. And once their experiences have been checked for quality by us, offer them to fans across the globe.

Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was Homefans. With your help, we’re building a platform that will change the way you experience sports around the world.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to provide visitors and locals with the right tools to search and book trips and tours on our platform.

Here are some of the new features you can now use on the platform.

Day Tours

This season we’ve seen a lot of demand for day tours at Homefans. Travelers and fans have been actively looking to book a match or a tour with a local, instead of a multi-day trip as part of a group.

As well as matchday visits, the new platform lets fans book in-depth and behind the scenes experiences hosted by clubs or locals.

Fancy joining a Maradona tour in Buenos Aires? Or spend your day looking around Belgrade’s stadiums? Or maybe you want to have dinner with the World Cup winner and Brazil legend, Cafu. It’s all possible on the new platform!

Profiles

On the previous site, you couldn’t see the actual profiles of locals and their reviews from their trips. That’s boring. So we decided to revamp this completely.

Now, you can see the ratings from every trip, every host, and be able to select the trip or day tour you want to book. Want to exchange messages before you book? No problem, just use the new inbox feature to speak directly with the host.

What else is coming?

As we mentioned at the start of this update, this is just the start.

You can expect a lot more updates in the coming months and more new features this year. From more ticketing options per match to updates on the user experience on the platform.

We’re really excited to see how this evolves over the coming months, as we continue our mission to provide the best possible platform for sports fans.
