The murals of Diego Armando Maradona, the sanctuary, the club's museum and the stadium itself. This was for me arguably the most complete stadium tour I ever had. It certainly is sacred soil for Maradonians, you feel the entire neighborhood La Paternal breathes Diego Maradona. Tomás, the local host, is a fascinating person. He is very likeable, but foremost he is a walking encyclopedia about Argentinos Juniors, Maradona and Argentinian football. I enjoyed learning from him to the fullest!

I had a wonderful time with Tomás during the match of Argentinos Juniors against Defensa y Justicia, so I decided to come back against their rivals Vélez Sarsfield. A decision I didn't regret at all, since the second match was even better than the first one. Argentinos Juniors is a smaller barrio club, but that makes this experience so authentic. The barra bravas are standing at the long side of the pitch, which is quite unique. In addition, the club has Diego Maradona running through the veins. All these elements ensure that I would recommend Argentinos Juniors to everyone who wants a taste of the real deal in Buenos Aires.

A ground I was not expecting so much from with it being such a small one. The Stadium in the end had a lot to offer and with Tomas there to show exactly what it has and the history of it all made for a brilliant trip. Thank you Homefans and Tomas for an amazing end to my trip!

It was exciting to know how were the Diego's beginnings in Argentinos Junior. Tomas knowledge is incredible. For those who love Diego Armando Maradona is worth visiting.
