Attending a Botafogo match with Matheus was an unforgettable experience that I'll cherish for a lifetime. Matheus, with his infectious enthusiasm and friendly demeanor, made the entire day an absolute blast. He's not just a football fan; he's a true aficionado, and his passion for the game is palpable. From sharing interesting insights about the team's history to waxing nostalgic about his grandpa, he added a vibrant layer to the entire experience. But it wasn't just Matheus who made the day remarkable; his girlfriend Mari was a significant help in keeping things organized. She ensured we had our tickets, snacks, and drinks in order, allowing us to fully focus on enjoying the match. The energy at the Botafogo stadium was electrifying, unlike anything I had ever experienced in a sporting event. The crowd's enthusiasm was infectious, and the chanting, cheering, and singing of fans created an atmosphere that was nothing short of magical. It was as if the stadium itself came alive with the spirit of the game.

My friend and I spent the day with Matheus and it was great to hear from someone who is so passionate about Brazilian football. He's a great host and very enthusiastic about his job. When doing the Vasco Da Gama's stadium tour, the tour guide would speak in Portuguese so Matheus would translate it into English for us. I would highly recommend doing this tour.

Matheus, played an absolute blinder in circumstances totally beyond his control (traffic) he still got us to the match on time and personally dropped me off to my hotel at the end of an amazing night of football that I don’t think anyone there will forget, what a star !!!

Matheus is a fantastic host who is so passionate about Botafogo and making sure the experience is the best possible! Along with Mari who was also really kind and helpful! The whole experience is well organised and gives you an authentic match day experience. I went alone and felt safe and was able to mix with a whole group of football loving travellers. Would 100% recommend to anybody wanting a Brazilian football experience!

I had so much fun at my first ever football match! Matheus is patient, thoughtful, and incredibly kind. We met many other travelers at the event including some of his close friends who came to support Botafogo. They all spoke English so it was easy to learn about the game and communicate with them. Matheus took great care of us making sure we had drinks and food, that we stayed together as a group and arrived safely at the stadium. Our driver was fantastic, and she was also Matheus's partner! You can tell he has a passion for the sport and brings people to help him on the tour that he really trusts. I would recommend watching the match with Matheus and cant wait to do another tour with him the next time I visit Rio. Thank you Matheus and friends!!! GOO BOTAFOGOOO!!
