If I could give this experience 100 stars I would. It’s an absolute must for anyone traveling to Río. We were picked up one block from our lodgment and had a guided & fun ride.
Every detail was thoughtfully planned out. The seats we had were AMAZING and had a blast hanging out with our host-friend.
We tailgated, we purchased souvenirs & finally we got to see an outstanding Botafogo game.

Just Wow! I completed a two week solo tour of Argentina and Brazil solely based on Football going to 9 different games. and Botafogo left me forever a fan! Mateus was an absolute Hero, who was so passionate on Botafogo and made you fall in love with the club, he was so well organised, welcoming and cracked opened a beer with you once we got to the pre game! He also matched this with his knowledge and passion of the beautiful game which made the experience 10 times better. The atmosphere was so special, flares, fireworks, chanting and waving flags everywhere you looked, we was immersed with the locals from start to finish. If you go to a game in Rio make sure you go to Botafogo, you won’t regret it! 12/10 would recommend to anybody! I will definitely be returning one day. Just to feel part of the botofoga family once again! 🖤🤍
The Botafogo Matchday experience was one of the highlights of our honeymoon trip to Rio. The atmosphere inside and outside the stadium was amazing, the match was fun to watch and Matheus was an excellent host! Matheus is a passionate fan who is very knowledgeable about the team. He is also very attentive as a host. I recommend the Botafogo Matchday experience to anyone who is looking to see a match in Rio!

The Botafogo FR intuition I made suddenly during my trip to Rio, Brazil became a precious memory in my life. In addition to the passionate street cheering of the home fans, it was very moving to see them keep their seats even though it was late, regardless of the match result, and support the players until the moment they left. The expected arrival time, which I found out in advance on Google search, was more than 50 minutes away from the actual match day due to severe traffic jams. I hope other people know this and deal with it. For those of you who have not yet experienced the Brazilian football cheering culture, it would be nice to take this opportunity to become a fan of Botafogo FR, which has great football skills and a great star mark. Also, I was sorry that I arrived late at the meeting point due to severe traffic congestion unintentionally, but I am very grateful to the guide Mr. Matheus, who gave kind explanations and led me from the first meeting, and helped me safely return home even in the crowd of locals.
What an amazing experience and a highlight of our trip. The whole trip was so well organised and Matheus looked after us so well. We learnt so many exciting facts about the history of the players and the club. We will be using again when we return to Rio. The Brazilian football games are like no other in the world, you do really need to experience.
