I'm Mr. Street, your local host.
I was born in Medellín 40 years ago, and I've walked the city alone since I was 12 when I got lost the very first time, after stepping out of the Atanasio with my father.
That Wednesday night, I came home back, walking down the streets on my own in one of the heaviest and dangerous cities in the world, by that time.
To clarify, it happened by April 1995, Pablo Escobar has passed 2 years before, so, Medellín's Cartel had many heads eager to get control and rule the busyness.
Now, imagine when that young boy went through the urban guts, seeking a safe shortcut to get a route home, but it was worth, because the mighty one won and defeated its eternal rival 2-1.
It was the time when I felt in love with those colors, red & blue.
