My connection with Botafogo runs deep in my blood. My family is from the neighborhood of Botafogo, and the love for this club has been passed down from generation to generation. It all started with my great-grandfather, who witnessed the early years of the team and even the beginning of football in Brazil. My grandfather always tells me stories about how his father took him to Maracanã to watch the legendary players—Garrincha, Didi, and Nilton Santos—grace the field. My father followed in their footsteps, and naturally, I was born into this passion. In fact, I left the maternity ward already dressed in a Botafogo jersey! And just like my ancestors, I will pass this love on to my children, grandchildren, and all who come after.
Being a Botafogo fan has never been easy. My childhood was tough as a passionate supporter because the last major title my club won was in 1995—the year I was born. For years, I had never seen my team lift an important trophy. But then, in 2024, after 29 long years, the big moment finally arrived. I traveled to Buenos Aires to witness my team win the Copa Libertadores, and just one week later, I watched them secure the Brazilian Championship. All the suffering was finally over, leaving only love and pride.
Now, I want to share this incredible passion with fellow football lovers through an unforgettable experience at a Botafogo match, alongside the most passionate local fans!
