Down by the docks you can literally see La Bombonera, the home of Boca Juniors, from the terraces at San Telmo. Yet, just a stone’s throw from the bright lights of the big city San Telmo are a modest second division outfit with a small but intense and uber passionate fanbase.
This experience is not for the faint hearted. Isla Maciel is one of the most underdeveloped regions of Buenos Aires and that much is obvious, but every weekend our visitors are welcomed by a local community that revolves around its football team and are guided by our top quality local hosts. Your visit also includes a visit to Tere’s famous rooftop. Tere is a local woman who saw success for her club from her balcony and so has watched every game since then from the same vantage point. Like we said, there’s nothing like San Telmo.
