Hi everyone,
I am Chris, your local host in Quito! As one of Liga’s chants says: “Una tarde mi viejo me llevó, y la vida nunca más nos separó” (“One afternoon, my dad took me to the stadium, and life never separated us again”). Thanks to my dad, I have been a Liga fan since I was a kid and as the years went by, the passion grew stronger. Now Liga Deportiva Universitaria is one of the most important things in my life. Today, I even have Liga tattooed on my skin.
Liga Deportiva Universitaria, also known as LDU, Albos, Centrales, Rey de Copas; is the greatest club in the country, with 12 national championships and 5 international cups, being the only Ecuadorian club to have won the Copa Libertadores (the South American counterpart of the Champions League).
My LDU match experience will provide you with a unique experience, getting to know the history of Liga Deportiva Universitaria and learning about our culture and traditions while enjoying a Liga match at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado stadium.
The experience includes a ticket to the match, a souvenir, a beer/soda/water, and a local guide in English and Spanish.
By the end of the day, you’ll have experienced a match as a Liga fan! And you’ll take away memories you’ll never forget.
