If you’re ready for a dynamic experience that blends sports and culture, this tour is perfect for you! My name is Lisa, and I’m passionate about street culture—whether it’s hip hop, street art, or skateboarding. Skateboarding is a way of “surfing” the streets, and I believe it brings life and personality to the urban environment. That’s why I’m excited to show you one of my favorite spots in Milan, where skate culture, architecture, and football intersect: the Portello district.
On this tour, we’ll explore the evolution of this redeveloped area. “Portell,” in the Milanese dialect, means “little door,” and this neighborhood has always been a hub of transformation. It once housed the historic Alfa Romeo factory, and later became home to Fiera Milano’s exhibition centers. Today, it’s a modern urban space with the CityLife district, Portello Park, and the iconic Gino Valle square, where Casa Milan—the headquarters of AC Milan—stands.
We’ll meet at the Milan Domodossola train station and begin our journey through the vibrant CityLife area. As we walk, I’ll share stories about the neighborhood’s transformation. We’ll pass Fiera Milano City and arrive at the highlight of our tour: Gino Valle square, where you’ll get to admire the striking Casa Milan building. Afterward, we’ll visit the Milan store, where you can grab a keepsake from this unforgettable day.
In the square, you’ll see local skaters in action and learn about how this district, originally designed for football fans, has become a hot spot for skateboarders. We’ll then continue to Portello Park, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Milan from a scenic hill.
To wrap up, we’ll head to a local bar known only to insiders for a refreshing beer and a toast to an exclusive tour of Milan’s urban spirit. Get ready for a unique adventure!
