Experience the 'Seville Derby' between Sevilla and Real Betis in March together with a group of football fans and our local Spanish host in Seville.
Welcome to Seville
Madrid, Barcelona, and Bilbao – the three historic hotbeds of Spanish football, where some of Spain and Europe’s most passionate rivalries take place. But for once let’s forget about these three cities and focus on the metropolis that is Seville. It is here where one of Spain’s fiercest and often most overlooked rivalries takes place. Where red and white meet green and white. This is Sevilla vs. Real Betis – the Derbi Sevillano. As many inter-city rivalries, these two teams also had a class divide. Betis were the working class whilst Sevilla supporters often had a much higher income. The population of Seville is divided into two categories: Sevillistas (Sevilla) and Béticos (Real Betis Balompié supporters).
We know the world’s best bits, so your football travel adventure will always be immersive and authentic, and your accommodation hand-picked. Day 1: Welcome to SevilleToday you will arrive in the beautiful Seville together with the rest of the group. Our trip leader will meet you at the hotel and welcome you to this Spanish city. Check yourself in already, put your stuff in your room, and get ready for a wonderful football weekend. After everyone has checked in and got to know each other, it is time for a city tour. Our trip leader knows the most beautiful places in the city and will come with a few recommendations to visit. After a walk through the city and a good lunch, we will visit the stadium of Seville. In the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, we will have a stadium tour and we visit the museum of the club.
After the tours in the city and at the stadium, everyone can freshen up in the hotel to get ready for an evening in Seville. In the evening we eat tapas together with the group in a local restaurant. After the Spanish dinner, we will enjoy a number of cold ‘cervezas’. After that, there is the possibility to discover the nightlife of this Spanish city.
Day 2: MatchdayMATCH DAY! Today is the day. We recommend having a good breakfast before heading into the city and enjoying a pre-match experience prior to ‘El Gran Derbi’ between Sevilla v Real Betis with the fans. Enjoy Spanish beers before we go to the stadium in time to enjoy this Spanish derby.
We’ll soak up in the atmosphere before the match for one of the biggest matches of the season between Sevilla v Real Betis. The atmosphere in the stadium is just as amazing, as Sevilla’ fans are known as some of the most vocal supporters in Spain.
After the match, you can relax or go explore the famous nightlife in Madrid with us. One thing is for sure, it’ll be an incredible day.
