WELCOME TO NORTH LONDON
One of the world’s most visited cities, London has something for everyone: from history and culture to fine food and good times. The North London derby is the name of the English derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. Both clubs fans have been recognized each other as their biggest rivals, and the derby is one of the fiercest in world football. Although the two teams first played each other in 1887, the rivalry did not begin until 1913 when Arsenal moved their ground to north London. Until today, 185 games have been played between them since their first game in the Football League in 1909, with 77 wins for Arsenal, 58 wins for Tottenham and 50 games drawn.
The new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is based in the neighborhood of Haringey. Until 2006, Arsenal played their home games at the Highbury Stadium and until 2017, Tottenham used White Hart Lane. The stadiums of Tottenham and Arsenal are only 5 miles apart. The derby has everything: two teams fighting at the same level, background stories still unfolding for both clubs, tight contests, talent, and local stars. Above all, it has an endless capacity to surprise every fan. What more could you want from a derby? Tick the North London derby off your bucket list in the brand new stadium of Tottenham Hotspur this season!
