Past year have seen some epic football trips around the world with great people. ?
We welcomed travelers from the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, UK, Serbia, Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, and Mexico. Bringing together like-minded people to enjoy and experience the best football cultures around the world in the most awe-inspiring destinations is what we love the most.
Experience hosts open up their community, cultures, and passions to new people from around the world. Many are born leaders, genuinely interested in connecting with people and creating a community. We recently launched a new Trip Leaders program with our first batch of ten leaders from around the world. These leaders have hit the ground running, and are already inspiring, supporting, and empowering our trips and experiences. Meet a few of these trip leaders below.
Ignasi Torné Gualdo
Ignasi is a good friend of the Homefans family. With a wealth of experience traveling all around the world, working for some of the biggest football clubs on the planet and most importantly his love for the beautiful game means we couldn’t refuse this legend to guide some of our trips next season. Whether it’s in Europe or to South America, Natxo will make sure you get an amazing experience and of course share all about his stories.
How can you possible experience football cultures in South America, without having the locals to show you around and take your trips to a next level? That’s also a question we asked ourselves here at Homefans. Here’s the solution: We’re happy to introduce Felipe Maldonado as one of the new trip leaders in South America for some of the upcoming trips. Felipe is crazy about football and has a wealth of experience for traveling around the world to watch football matches.
Stijn De Ruyck
One of our regular travelers last season, joined us to tick of Old Firm of his personal bucket list but also joined the memorable Ultimate Argentina trip last season. Stijn loves traveling and loves to experience football at different destinations around the world. Based in Belgium, Stijn will guide some groups from Belgium / the Netherlands throughout the season in some of the best destinations and derbies Homefans has to offer. Make sure you follow his Instagram account and get inspired by his photos of all his football adventures!
Jonne has been around for quite a while at Homefans. He helped out with meetups, trips and joined a few trips as a traveler as well in the past few years. Not only is Jonne a good friend of the core team, he is also a dedicated traveler and football culture lover. He loves to travel around Europe to experience football derbies and joined us on a few now. Jonne will host some groups again this season across Europe to have a more than a few beers and a good time with everyone.
We first met Nick last summer for the first-ever trip to Stockholm. A destination and trip that changed everything for Homefans and showed how good a football weekend can be. Since then, Nick joined every single trip to Stockholm to experience the derbies with Hammarby. Based in the Netherlands, Nick loves football and already has some new trips on his list for next season with Homefans. However, he will also guide some trips next season for Dutch travelers – loyalty deserves a reward and Nick is one of the best guys we’ve come across on our trips. Therefore, welcome to the Homefans Family Nick. Oh, and he loves pyro too!
Stefan Beukman, also based in the Netherlands, joined a couple of Homefans trips across Europe last season. Addicted to football cultures, he loves traveling and experiencing the best cultures around Europe. This season, he’ll take charge of some trips for Dutch travelers to enjoy the best football weekends with other fans.
Thom is one of the core team members here at Homefans. You might have seen him on one of the trips last season or exchanged some messages about some of our trips. Thom is also a trip leader within Homefans and loves to travel to tick off the biggest derbies around the world. Last season, he traveled to Argentina, Old Firm, Derby Della Capitale, Derby Della Madonnina, Millwall and a couple of other trips. This season, he’ll continue to add more trips to his list and meet other fans around the world.
Filip is one of our local hosts in Krakow every season for the Krakow derbies and the other intense matches in the Polish football league. Known for his ability to drink a lot of Polish Vodka, but also a fantastic host he truly makes a difference during the trips we host throughout the season. Filip will travel across Europe this season to some of the biggest derbies and enjoy a great time abroad with other travelers who travel through Homefans this season.
