First, in São Paulo, we are going to the “Choque-Rei” derby, a clash between SPFC and Palmeiras, a rivalry that drives people crazy in the city. In the day after, the “people’s derby”, Corinthians v Flamengo, which has a total combined of almost 75 million supporters all over the world. They hate each other and every year both clubs claim to have the biggest crew in Brazil!
In Rio de Janeiro, we will guide you to Vasco’s (football academy that revealed Romário and Juninho Pernambucano to the world) neighborhood, playing against Cruzeiro, one of the best Brazilian clubs this season. Then, the derby the whole nation is looking forward to the most: Flamengo v Fluminense at Maracanã! No words for that. For one nice day, we will leave the city and head to the beach, 50 km from São Paulo , to have an amazing experience in Santos. This town is home of Santos FC and its stadium Vila Belmiro, where the best players in Brazil, like Pelé, Robinho and Neymar were born. We’ll learn more about the history of Santos FC, and also about some of Brazil’s greatest players ever.
The temple of football, Maracana was for many years the biggest stadium on earth. With a capacity of 200,000 people, it was the host of the 1950 World Cup and after being completely renewed, home of the WC 2014, won by Germany. The greatest players in the history played over there, including Pelé, Beckenbauer, Diego Maradona, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Messi, beyond others.
We’ll get an exclusive look in one of the greatest football stadiums and you will see the best moments in football, by far. The Arena, nowadays, is home of Flamengo and Fluminense, an amazing derby that you will also experience with Homefans during this trip!
