Join us in Israel to experience the surprising football scene and culture of the Holy Land. We will introduce you to everything this unique country has to offer – turbulent history, amazing food, ancient attractions and of course, football.
Our weekend is based in the great city of Tel Aviv – the city that never sleeps – home to an enviable selection of restaurants, amazing beaches, fabulous shopping, lively nightlife and much more. Tel Aviv has been ranked as one of the “best cities” in the world according to Time Out magazine.
Football is the most popular sport in Israel so watching a game will deliver an incredibly special experience. The four leading football clubs in Israel are based in the biggest cities in the country: Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Beitar Jerusalem and Maccabi Haifa; and, as you can imagine, some of the rivalries between those clubs are historical and huge.
The Tel Aviv Derby is the most ferocious and historical rivalry Israel has to offer – this is the battle for the capital. In one corner The Reds from Hapoel, associated with the left-wing, working class, and in the other corner the Yellows from Maccabi, historically closely tied with the capitalism movement and the middle class. The Tel Aviv derby always delivers. The players are fighting on the pitch, while the fans are supporting from the packed stands with huge tifos, pyro and more.
Led by your local guide, you will experience an amazing and special weekend, as can be offered only in Tel Aviv and Israel. S/he will have plenty of tips to help you experience Tel Aviv like a local. Plus you will share the whole experience with a small group of like-minded sports fans.
