Overview

Are you ready for an unforgettable weekend?  Join us in Moscow for sightseeing, the odd shot of Vodka, and – one of the oldest and most notorious derbies there is – the Moscow derby.

Like all sporting rivalries there is a back story to this derby.  Spartak are considered to be the working-class “club of the people”, while CSKA’s origins are as the club of the Soviet Army.  Your local host will help you understand the history and how it shapes today’s game.

Outside of the football you will have time to explore this fascinating city – where soviet history meets 21st century technology.

Accommodation and match tickets are included. You share this adventure with a small group of like-minded football fans and a local Moscow football host who will help you experience Moscow like a local.

Book with total flexibility and security.

The next Moscow Derby will be played on Sunday 25 April when Spartak will be the home team.  Homefans believe this match will be played in front of fans and we are taking bookings now.  (The first day of the tour will be Saturday 24 April).

However, in the event that fans are not admitted, if you have made a booking the amount paid simply becomes Homefans credit.  You can transfer this to a later date (with no time limit), transfer to another tour, or even give it to a friend.

This flexibility is also offered if for any reason you decide you are not comfortable travelling. For more information visit our “book with confidence” page

Day 1. Welcome to Moscow!

Welcome to Moscow! Your local host will be waiting to welcome you at the groups hotel. We’ll be meeting in the evening to head to a local bar to get to know each other. However the rest of you time today is at leisure and your local host will be able to recommend things to see and do based on your interests.

Day 2. Match Day

It's match day. Depending on the time of the match you will have some free time to explore before or after the match and your local host will be able to make some recommendations based on your interests.

We will meet up shortly before the match and head to the area surrounding the stadium to enjoy the pre match build up. After that we take our seats and await the main event.

Day 3. Time to say goodbye

Time to bid a farewell to your local host and fellow travellers and exchange contacts. Hopefully some new friendships for life. Time to say goodbye...until the next football adventure with Homefans.

FAQs

Do I have to pay the full amount when I book?
No, you can secure your place with a deposit of just 30%, then pay the balance at least 4 weeks before your trip date.
Is now a good time to book? What about COVID-19?
We believe so! After all, don't we all need something to look forward to right now?

Homefans believe that the April fixture will be played in front of fans. However, in the event that does not happen the amount paid simply becomes Homefans credit. You can transfer this to a later date (with no time limit), transfer to another tour, or even give it to a friend. This flexibility also applies if you decide to cancel for any reason.
Where in the stadium will we be sitting?
If we know where you will be sitting we always mention this is in the inclusions section.

Unfortunately we are not always able to tell you that at the time of booking, however our destination managers work tirelessly to make sure you get the best seats. We always aim for the long side of the home supporters section.
How many people will be on the tour?
The host for this tour will allow a maximum of 20 people. However this number may not always be met and it may even be possible that your party are on the tour on your own. Higher numbers make for a more sociable experience, lower numbers make for more personalised attention from your host. Look at it as a win/win!
Are children / young adults allowed on the tour?
Our local host has taken the decision, based on the content of the tour to open this up to adults only. If you are looking to travel with under 18's please feel free to contact us and we can discuss your options
Do I have to share a room?
In order to keep the costs low we always offer prices based on 2 sharing. If you make a booking for an odd number of people you or another member of your party may be paired with another traveller of the same sex. If you wish you may pay a supplement for a guaranteed single room. Simply make your booking as normal and get in touch with us to arrange this.
Where does the tour group meet?
This tour does not include transfers so you will need to make your way to the hotel. If you need help with transfers let us know...
