Unlike most intercity rivalries, the Derby della Capitale is not defined by a clear class divide, but by the perceived relationship of the clubs to the city itself. Wave upon wave of banners, flags, flares, and color make the scenes truly remarkable.
Our small groups are the perfect way to make new friends and share this amazing derby experience. You will meet some great people from all over the world and someone from our staff who will be there with you for the whole weekend from the moment you step off the plane (and drinks some beers!).
Are you ready for an epic weekend in Rome? Then here it is: Derby Della Capitale like you have never experienced it before. Meet the group and settle in Rome. Here you can enjoy some relaxation time and drop your luggage off to enjoy the city at its best.
Rome has everything you’d want from a modern city and football culture but critically, it’s the city’s history that acts as the principal magnet. From the remains of its imperial glory days to the Renaissance and baroque riches of its historic centre, Rome is a glorious architectural patchwork – a living masterpiece.
Begin your journey at the Vatican City, declared an independent state in 1929 and home to St. Peter’s Basilica (the largest church in the world), the Vatican Museum and the shining star of the Italian Renaissance, the Sistine Chapel. The awe-inspiring architecture and art collection make the Vatican City top of the list of must-sees.
While there’s no escaping Rome’s illustrious past, modern Romans embrace the present. So do as they do and throw yourself into the life of the city. The abundance of restaurants and bars make it a nightlife hot-spot for locals; tuck in for a traditional meal of gnocchi (usually eaten on Thursdays) or the Roman specialty, pasta coda alla vaccinara, a ragu made from braised oxtail stew.
Are you well-rested and ready to experience one of the fiercest rivalries in football in Rome? We will kick this day off with an early breakfast and head to the city centre to soak up in the atmosphere before one of the biggest derbies in Italy. The streets will be empty, and Stadio Olimpico transforms into an arena where the Gladiators of the Biancocelesti and the Giallorossi will battle against each other. 90 minutes of war. The strongest survive.
With Homefans you’ll experience this derby the local way, meet locals, hang out with other travelers, one thing is for sure: It will be an unforgettable football trip. All the fun doesn’t end after the match. You can join us for a dinner in Rome and we will head out to the famous city to experience what Rome has to offer: We are in for a treat with the nightlife scene.
On the final day, we will pack up our belongings and have breakfast with the group. It’s time to see where the next football adventure lies for us. We will then check out of our hotel as it’s time to say goodbye. The trip might be coming to an end but our memories will last a lifetime. And you can always come back with Homefans!
