The Copa Libertadores is South America’s premier sporting competition. The top sides and craziest fans from all across the continent are thrown together to create some of the the noisiest, most colourful spectacles you’ll see in world football. The equivalent of the Champions League in Europe, this amazing competition is the ultimate goal for any CONMEBOL club. A fixation for the fans, that can be heard in the famous song ‘Y Si Señor’, adopted by supporters of many clubs in Argentina and beyond.

The country with the most Copa Libertadores titles, Independiente hold the record, with seven. They haven’t qualified for this year’s edition, however. The big two of Boca Juniors and River Plate are next on the list, with six and four respectively.
