After his first trip to South America with Homefans, Lee has been running Homefans football weekends in Glasgow, including the Old Firm’s between Celtic v Rangers. These trips are now so in demand, we’ve launched four more new trips in the past year alone. Lee comes from and when he’s not busy showing Homefans travelers the beauty of his home country, he supports Celtic FC.
How was your first trip with Homefans to South America?
I traveled to Argentina and Brazil in my 1st ever trip to South America and absolutely loved every minute of it. In Buenos Aires, you can go to a match 7 days a week and with most teams coming from the capital there’s always a derby to watch. Brazil was somewhere I always dreamed of going and it didn’t let me down.
Rio de Janeiro will always be one of my favorite places in the world and will visit there again soon. The Maracanã was fantastic, and the Fla Flu derby was tremendous.
São Paulo, I thought has the better teams in Brazil at the moment with Palmeiras, São Paulo, and Corinthians all playing well. Homefans and my tour guide Pedro in Argentina and Brazil could not have organized the trip any better.
What do you think that makes Homefans different from others?
Homefans was the 1st company I’ve been with who uses local fans knowledge to enhance your experience but taking you to places where the fans meet and have a few drinks and sing their club songs before the game.
We also went on exclusive Homefans stadium tours and not just your average stadium tours. Homefans collaborates with a local of clubs, to take travelers beyond the traditional tours. Attention to detail is what Homefans do best!!
What team do you support and what’s the highlight for you as a fan?
I’m a Celtic supporter and love the European nights at Celtic Park and also Old Firm games. It’s always good to give Rangers a good beating. 😉
Why did you become a trip leader in the UK?
I absolutely loved my experience in South America with my tour guide Pedro and knew I could pass on local knowledge of my own team in Glasgow to others when they visit the UK.
