Hi, my name is Tomas

Localhost since Nov 24, 2020

I'm Tomás Gonzalez. I live in La Paternal, the same neighbourhood in which I was born and raised and where the Diego Armando Maradona stadium is located. I'm a Historian with a major from the University of Buenos Aires -and an Argentinos Juniors' supporter since I can recall. I'm a deep lover & connoisseur of football history -specially my club's, of course!- and it's influence in the local culture. Looking forward to share it all with you!

Had a great night with Tomás at the first game of the new competition. Tomás knows his stuff regarding his club (he is a historian), and is very passionate also which shows ! Also the game was very entertaining, ending in a 2-1 win of Argentinos Juniors. See you soon !

I had a great tour with Tomás. He's a genuine guy from the Neighborhood and in Argentina (especially in La Paternal, everything is about the neighborhood). Tomás knows every single detail of Argentinos Junior's history and matches, being a live testimony of the recent events and being a participant of a lot of fans' movements themselves. Tomás also likes and can show you street art around the stadium, which is a great deal. He personally knows those artists. Tomás is super gentle, dominates Portuguese, and is known in the neighborhood. Definitely a great football tour.

This game beat all expectations for me. The atmosphere was electric from the fans and you could feel the passion for his team so much from the host. He told us plenty of stories and interesting facts about the stadium and the Velez rivalry and of course Maradona. We got to see some murals around the stadium and if anyone is visiting Argentina for football give Argentinos Juniors a visit you will not regret it, thankyou!!

The murals of Diego Armando Maradona, the sanctuary, the club's museum and the stadium itself. This was for me arguably the most complete stadium tour I ever had. It certainly is sacred soil for Maradonians, you feel the entire neighborhood La Paternal breathes Diego Maradona. Tomás, the local host, is a fascinating person. He is very likeable, but foremost he is a walking encyclopedia about Argentinos Juniors, Maradona and Argentinian football. I enjoyed learning from him to the fullest!

I had a wonderful time with Tomás during the match of Argentinos Juniors against Defensa y Justicia, so I decided to come back against their rivals Vélez Sarsfield. A decision I didn't regret at all, since the second match was even better than the first one. Argentinos Juniors is a smaller barrio club, but that makes this experience so authentic. The barra bravas are standing at the long side of the pitch, which is quite unique. In addition, the club has Diego Maradona running through the veins. All these elements ensure that I would recommend Argentinos Juniors to everyone who wants a taste of the real deal in Buenos Aires.
