Effort, Dedication, Devotion, Glory. This is Sporting Clube de Portugal!
If you’re a footie fan planning a vacation in sunny Lisbon, you definitely should not skip meeting one of the most beautiful and emblematic club infra-structures right in the center of our city:
Estádio José de Alvalade XXI, home of our boys in green.
This top-notch UEFA 5-star certified stadium was built as a more modern alternative to Sporting’s old stadium to be used specifically for Euro 2004 and was inaugurated in August 6th 2003.
On that same day, a quick-dribbling youth academy prospect named Cristiano Ronaldo began his incredible journey with an unforgettable performance that shocked football fans all around the World, against Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United.
If you’re a ManU, Real Madrid, Juventus fan or simply a huge admirer of the absolute best Portuguese footballer of all time, come step on Alvalade’s pitch and I’ll tell you all about the day when football history was written right in front of our eyes. There’ll also be a time to take a few pictures on the bench, visit the (very exclusive) presidential tribune, team dressing rooms and the tunnel where teams line-up right before the starting whistle.
Also included on our tour is a visit to the club’s Museum, where you will get the chance to see why Sporting is one of the biggest and most respected clubs in Portugal and across the globe!
