COVID-19 Travel Requirements

Travel looks a bit different at the moment, given the advice is ever-changing and will vary depending on where you live Homefans is not publishing specific information however for entry to Spain we are linking here to the Spanish Government where you will find the latest advice.

Currently there are no requirements for entry to the stadium, however you will be required to wear a mask.  This can change without prior notice so we advise that you carry proof of vaccination to the stadium.

Madrid, An exciting, fun and historic city, capital of football and home of the 13 times European champion, Real Madrid.

Who hasn’t wanted to visit the Santiago Bernabéu at some point? The temple of Madrid where Di Stéfano or Cristiano Ronaldo have played, perhaps the two best players to have worn the white shirt, as well as innumerable football stars such as Puskas, Gento, Kopa, later players from the Quinta del Buitre such as Michel and Butragueño, Redondo, Seedorf or Mijatovic, who re-conquered Europe for Real Madrid by winning the seventh European Cup until they reached “Los Galácticos” Ronaldo, Figo, Beckham, Roberto Carlos and Raúl.

Now you have the opportunity to get to know the home of Real Madrid by taking the Tour of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and enjoying a Real Madrid match, all accompanied by me.

I am a Real Madrid fan, I have real “merengue” DNA, so I can discover more things about the legend and the mysticism of Real Madrid, so I hope you will join this experience that will leave you full of good memories.

The experience begins by meeting at the “Santiago Bernabéu” metro station to go to the stadium for the tour. Afterwards we will go to have a “bocata” and a pint of beer in the area to start living the atmosphere before the game, until we end up entering the stadium to enjoy the show.

I’m waiting for you to share this white day!

Are the stadiums open? At what capacity?

As of October 2021 Spain’s stadiums have resumed opening at 100% capacity.

However please note that this is subject to immediate change without notice and that Homefans and our local hosts have no control over this.

Will I need to prove I am vaccinated? Or show a negative test?

As of now this is not required to enter the stadium however there is always the possibility that this will change.  Also given that proof of vaccination and/or negative PCR is required for entry to Spain we advise you to consider this in your travel plans.

Is the match date confirmed?

We publish the latest information we have from the clubs regarding the schedule.  However these are tentative.  For weekend fixtures matches can take place any time from Friday to Sunday.  For midweek matches you should be prepared for the match to take place one day earlier or later than stated.  Please consider this when making your wider travel plans.

Where in the stadium will I be sitting?

Please refer to the inclusions section, where we know we will always mention this here.

In the rare cases nothing is mentioned this means it can vary match to match based on availability.  We always strive for the long side with the home supporters. You can always contact us for more information based on the fixture you are interested in.

How many people will be on the tour?

The maximum number of people the host will allow is stated above. However this number may not always be met and it may even be possible that your party is on the tour on your own. Higher numbers make for a more sociable experience, lower numbers make for more personalised attention from your host. Look at it as a win/win!

Can children / young adults join the tour?

Where we can accept children there is an option for children in the booking flow. However in many cases our local hosts take the decision, based on the content of the tour, to open this up to adults only. If you are looking to travel with under 18’s, please feel free to contact us and we can discuss your options.
