“Let’s all do the Poznan!” Does it ring a bell? The famous tifo choreography derives its name from local Lech Poznan fans. Should we say more? 🙂
Lech is currently one of the top Polish teams, fighting for the championship every season. With the 2nd biggest fanbase in Poland, it’s also the biggest club for Western Poland. Famous for its perfectly organized youth academy, giving young players chances in the A team and Poland’s most successful international transfers (Lewandowski, Peszko, Bednarek, Linetty, Kownacki, Jóźwiak, Gumny, Kamiński etc.) still makes people hope for trophies and this hunger is a huge thing in the city.
With help of our local host, you will explore the world of Lech. Discover the railway background of the club, learn about its most important former players (Lewandowski, Okonski, Juskowiak just to mention few of them) and current ones-to-watch. Get to know the impressive results of club’s youth academy and enjoy your time at the amazing UEFA EURO 2012 arena.
As a local journalist recently stated “Lech is not just a sport club, it’s a mass hallucination”. What makes local people so crazy about the club? How important is it even to the people who don’t care about sports? With answers to these questions, you will be fully prepared to enjoy the game!
We will start our experience with a delicious local street food in the hippie Jeżyce district followed by a beer in the most iconic sports bar. Then, we will take a tram ride with other football fans and get to Lech Poznan stadium. Before getting to the tribune, we will stop for a picture with the iconic steam train and take our time in the club store to make sure you get your scarf/t-shirt or other Lech merch.
