From a booming café culture to wild nightlife, fascinating historical spots to pretty parks, Krakow has become the trendiest place to go in East Europe. Although the cosmopolitan life is getting bigger, there is an amazing contrast with the old and living town. The best way to see the city is with a local expert and Filip, our Krakow host is not only passionate about his city but also his club; Wiska Krakow. One of the first-ever urban UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Old Town is a maze of cobbled lanes and alleys, wide streets with historic merchant houses lining the pavements, and – most importantly – sprawling squares where medieval churches and trading houses still loom above the flagstones.
However, apart from the nightlife and the cool Old Town, Krakow also has two football teams. It is home of the impressive Wisla Krakow and Cracovia, without a doubt one the most craziest and most intense derby in Europe. The atmosphere at these clubs are hard to compare with anything. It’s one of the few places where you can see the whole stands jumping. This is where you will see a sea of hands in the air whenever the capo tells to raise them. This is simply a unique football experience.
We will meet in the center of the Old Town, where he will show you the main sights and the history behind each one of them, always relating some stories with the rivalry and football in the country!
Then, we will walk towards his football club Stadion Miejski, home of Wisla Krakow. Over there, you will have the most amazing, local and authentic visit to the main areas of the ground, such as dressing rooms, press conference, pitch and especially the place where the Ultras stand!
After that, located some meters from their arch enemies, we will go to Cracovia FC Stadium, to check the other side of the city and one of the most successful clubs in the country. You will have access to some behind the scenes and spots that makes the club a football power.
To finish in the most Polish way, Filip will take you to his best bar where you can relax, chill and of course, have a nice local craft Vodka tasting of 7 samples! We will wrap in the best way possible and after a few shots, Filip will say goodbye to our group, hoping to see you next time!
