We’ve all seen the Green Street movie about the rivalry between West Ham and Millwall. Now take a fascinating tour into the areas and stories featured in the movie on this tour which combines visits to the main landmarks from both clubs and a stadium tour. Plus we’ll aim to settle the battle about which clubs’ pubs serve the best pints!
We will begin the tour with an English Speaking Homefans Local Host who will first show and tell you stories about the famous Boleyn Ground, the old West Ham Stadium, at Upton Park. Then, we will visit some murals, graffiti, and paintings that represent the fanatism of their supporters. Finally, a beer at The Boleyn Tavern, a pub where West Ham fans get together before a match!
By tube, we will go directly to Bermondsey Area, home of their arch-rivals Millwall FC. Here we will take a Stadium Tour at The Den, one of the most special and feared grounds in England. Their supporters are known by the chant “No one likes us, we don’t care”! To finish properly, we will talk to the Bermondsey Beer Mile, a loose amalgamation of brewery bars and bottle shops, located along a stretch of railway arch that’s close to two miles long. Over there, let’s sit down and the first round is on us!
Meeting point: Upton Park Station.
