Hello, I am Isaac your guide, born and raised in Rio de Janeiro!
I will take you to live the excitement of watching the game of one of the biggest football teams in Brazil. I’m talking about the Fluminense Football Club, a club of English origins, which pioneered the construction of the first cement stadium in Latin America, the Laranjeiras Stadium, which hosted the Copa America, and the Pan American Games, and was the stage for the first relevant title of the Brazilian Football Team. It was Preguinho, one of the three-coloured idols, the first goal of the Brazilian team in World Cups. Other stars have also worn the tricolor uniform, like Pinheiro, Didi, Rivelino, Gerson, Castilho, Paulo César Caju, Carlos Alberto Torres, Waldo, Fred, Ézio, Romerito, Assis, Washington, Renato Gaúcho, Tele Santana, Romário, Deco, Conca, among others.
Considered the Nobel Prize for Sport, Fluminense is the only club in Latin America that holds the Olympic Cup in 1949, in addition to being the only football club in the world to have its name inscribed in the honour granted by the International Olympic Committee for services rendered to the sport. Four-time Brazilian champion, champion of the Brazilian Cup and the First League Cup, and 31 times state champion. Runner-up of the Copa Libertadores de América and Sudamericana.
I will meet you in the hotel lobby, and this tour will take you to the Maracanã Stadium, the “Largest in the World”. Included in the package are subway tickets, a game ticket, two beers inside the stadium, and a local bilingual guide.
