Hi everyone! My name is Fernando Illanes, 26 years old, born and raised in the stands of Corinthians matches, the biggest club at my hometown: São Paulo, Brazil. As a journalist, I’ve worked for 4 years at Corinthians’ Communication Department and as a Community Manager at Copa America 2019. In the past few years, as a football lover, I’ve experienced football matches in São Paulo, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Buenos Aires, Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, London, Rome, Warsaw and Sarajevo.
In this tour, I’ll take you to know the quarters of the most popular football club in the Brazilian biggest city. Corinthians was founded by humble immigrants in a worker neighbourhood in the year of 1910. As the city starts to grow as people came from all over the country seeking a better life, Corinthians became the “people’s team”, or “O Time do Povo”.
In the first part of our tour, we’ll visit the social club, Corinthians headquarters since 1926. There, you will visit the old stadium, home of the women and youth academy matches, and the biggest private sports gymnasium in the city, where basketball and futsal events are held. Also, we’ll visit the Memorial Corinthians, where more than 100 years of glories are exposed to the visitors. Titles, culture, passion. You’ll get familiar with what Corinthians represents for the fans and the community.
After knowing some about Corinthians history, I’ll take you to have a “Rodizio” meal, where you can eat the best Brazilian churrasco. Just a detail: In a Rodizio, you can eat as much as you want!
After a nice churrasco, it’s time to visit one of the most modern stadiums in the world and home of the 2014 Brazil World Cup opening match: Neo Quimica Arena. During 1 and a half-hour walk, visit the press conference auditory, business lounges, VIP areas, locker rooms, pitch and more!
At the end of our visit, a look at the massive Nike store so you can get a remembrance from our experience!
