If you want to know Boca Juniors and Buenos Aires culture, this tour is exactly for you. You will see La Bombonera, take photos with the trophies and then you will know the amazing architecture and food of Buenos Aires.
This tour starts in La Boca neighbourhood. At the end of the XIX Century, a lot of European immigrants (especially from Italy, Spain and East Europe) came to Argentina looking for an opportunity. Many of them were established in La Boca because that place was the principal port of Buenos Aires and Argentina. In your visit, you will see the colourful and old houses of ancient immigrants called “conventillos”, street artworks, couples dancing tango and statues of famous Argentinians around the world like Messi, Maradona or The Pope Francisco. In addition to performing these activities, we will stop to eat a traditional barbecue in a typical Argentinian restaurant. La Boca has a strong Italian immigrant roots, for this reason, you can enjoy also different types of pasta!
After the meal, we will go to Boca Juniors Museum and Stadium. In this place, you will see the history of all the National and International Championships of the club, such as Libertadores Cup and Intercontinental Cup (currently called Club World Cup). When we finish this section, we can enter to the stadium (into playing field) and take some photos with the 18th International Cups that Boca Juniors won.
Then, we will go to Buenos Aires Downtown where you will see the contrast between different styles of buildings: colonial, art-deco, neoclassic and the modern towers in Puerto Madero (the youngest neighbourhood in the City). You will check the Congress Palace, Government House, Metropolitan Cathedral, Colonial Town Hall, Barolo Palace, Kirchner Cultural Center, Colon Theater, among others. In the middle of the road, we have a stop for a snack in a typical bar in Buenos Aires. Also, we will see the most famous place of Buenos Aires: the obelisk and 9 de Julio Avenue (the widest avenue in the world) And… of course I will tell a resume of the history of Argentina and these buildings while we walk.
Finally, we will go to Puerto Madero where you can take some rest in the park near the La Plata River, while you see the modern towers of this place. We then will enjoy a fabulous dinner in a typical Buenos Aires meat restaurant. In this place, you can choose between enjoying different cuts of meat with an excellent Argentinian wine.
