Located in Southwest London, we don’t need that many words to describe what Chelsea represents. Premier League and Champions League winners, they have a vast history of glories and titles. And don’t overthink that the club became important in the city’s scenario after got bought by the multimillionaire Abramovich.
During the 1970s and 1980s in particular, Chelsea supporters were associated with football hooliganism. The club’s “football firm”, originally known as the Chelsea Shed Boys, were nationally notorious for football violence, alongside hooligan firms from other clubs such as West Ham United’s Inter City Firm and Millwall’s Bushwackers, before, during and after matches.
A strong rivalry with Leeds United dates back to several heated and controversial matches in the 1960s and 1970s, particularly the 1970 FA Cup Final. More recently a rivalry with Liverpool has grown following repeated clashes in cup competitions.
In this amazing, local and authentic experience, you will meet an English Speaking Homefans Local Host at Butcher’s Hook. Stamford Bridge notoriously has a large number of pubs within a mile of the stadium which gives plenty of options for pre or post-match drinks. But this pub is the best and close walking distance and within 10 minutes of the ground. Over there, we will drink some pints (the first one is on us!), get to know the group and learn about the club’s history with local supporters.
Then, we will talk towards Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea FC. Around the stadium, there will be time to buy some souvenirs, eat some street food, beers and listen to more stories from their fans. Then, our local host will escort to your seats safely and enjoy 90 minutes of a good football match!
After the game, our local host will assist you in taking the subway or recommend more pubs to extend your night and say Goodbye to our group!
