My name is Yagiz Ozan. I am a Fener fan who has studied Sports Communication and worked at sports organizations. Sports and the urban culture of Istanbul are my two passion!
Besiktas, Fenerbahce, and Galatasaray: They are the big three football clubs in Istanbul, Turkey. They have over 50 million fans combined (and counting). We will have the most amazing, local, and authentic stadium tours through Istanbul’s most important teams!
The first tour’s meeting point is Vodafone Park, but first of all, we will have a coffee (or tea) at Bosphorus and talk a little bit about the Turkish Big Three. Then, we will dive into Beşiktaş and its stadium history. This stadium is home to the loudest fans globally (please watch Besiktas v Liverpool CL game).
The next stop is TT Arena Stadium of Galatasaray. How they became the first Ottoman football club during the Ottoman Era? How they have such a strong culture as a club? I will tell you all. If we are lucky enough, the marketing manager of Galatasaray will join us during the tour.
Our last stop is the cradle of Ottoman football: Fenerbahçe Stadium. During the 1880s, British Leviathans had been played football here. From that day on, the history of the stadium and the club will be told by me.
Besiktas’ and Galatasaray’s stadiums are on the European side of Istanbul, and Fenerbahce is on the Asian side. If you are more than two people, we will drive on the Bosphorus bridge. If not, we will cross the Bosphorus by ferry. Both options are fantastic.
